🧘🏼‍♂️🤾🏻‍♀️Getting Sweaty Again: The 3rd Circuit 🚴🏼‍♂️🏋🏼‍♀️

I love breakfast options. I'd eat it every meal if it made sense.

On a weekday, I'm generally a 2EG - my difference is a my fruit is a banana with peanut butter.
On a weekend, I'm generally a A13E
On vacation, I'm the whole page. I would eat all of that and more.
I love breakfast food so much. I’d eat all of that except the biscuits and gravy and the ham.

What is your breakfast like:
1. On a regular weekday?
2. On a regular weekend?
3. On vacation?

1. I’ve been trying for 2EG plus OJ, toast with peanut butter or avocado and a Kind bar.
2. Same but maybe substitute in bacon and home fries fried in bacon grease.
3. C1234DEG
I wouldn’t be so hard on yourself.
Just trying not to go full degenerate 😂
You didn’t ask my opinion but it sounds to me like you’re doing great.
Thanks.

I'm partial to lunch, especially during the week. My breakfast is always kind of meh and cycles between cereal and Greek yogurt and granola of sorts. On the weekend it's likely toast and peanut butter before running.

On vacation, I live for brunch. Give me some ridiculous amount of something that's likely terrible for me. Eggs benny, chicken and waffles, a ridiculous bagel breakfast sandwich. I'm on vacay, we're doing this.

Update:

I have decided to continue with the all-around weightlifting association I found last year. It gives me motivation to keep lifting AND start eating clean again because I would like to move down into a lighter weight class.

I sent in my lift for “no thumbs, fat bar deadlift” for the meet at the end of March and placed around the middle of the pack of 36 lifters, so not bad for a first outing. I plan to attend an in-person “records” meet in mid-May.

In order to make participating easier without driving an hour-and-a-half to the nearest affiliated club, I have started the process of becoming an official. Because a local guy is also an official, we can officiate each other’s lifts and submit the results. I have passed the written test and completed two of the three practical exams. The mid-May meet would be the third. 😁

What a great idea! Congratulations on passing the written test and most of the practical exams already! That’s fantastic!

~Serenity Sunday ~
And Self-care Sunday. If you were to write a letter to yourself today, what would you say? What do you need to hear? Others can boost our spirits and be supportive, and that is touching and heartwarming. Sometimes only we know exactly what we need to hear.
If you need some ideas, here are some sentence starters. You can post them here or just keep them for yourself.
Dear Me,

Calorie deficiency is key for that. Which is brutal. I want all the food!

I wish there was a way to get rid of a specific problem area, but in my experience it isn’t really possible. You can tone, or reduce body fat overall, but not really spot reduce.
It's a stubborn area. I look ok. I've never cared about washboard abs, but ofc as you gain weight during the day, by the evening...it's a little more on show.

Have you heard that if you’re feeling angry at everyone, you need to eat something. And if you are feeling like everyone is upset with you, you need to sleep? I feel like there’s some truth to it.

Thanks for the update and laugh, @Lmizzler :) Do you think it hurts more on the actual leg day or 24 hrs after leg day? Either way.. ouch!

Sweaters-
When you’re sore after a workout, do you whine? Grin and bear it? Take Advil? Or grunt about how “Pain is just weakness leaving the body”? Something else entirely?

Oh I meant to ask, has anyone here taken a barre class and lived to tell the tale?

What did you think? I’m thinking of giving it a try. Here’s what is bothering me about group classes lately. When I sign up, you have to reserve a space in the classes ahead of time in the app but many times the classes are full. It’s so frustrating. This barre class doesn’t have that issue. There is always plenty of room.

So I’m thinking it’s going to kick my butt.

I lightly complain about it while actually kind of enjoying the soreness. I don't take anything for it but I'll also foam roll or stretch and loudly groan 😂

I have not but my gut says same as yours: that open? You're about to get whooped lol

I've only really taken one group class ever....it was a kick boxing class and i took it for like a year twice a week..loved it. But haven't taken one before or sense. I'm a mess.

Let us know how it goes!!

I have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning and pending an X-ray shows everything looks good, I should be done with crutches/scooter. I’ll still have to wear the boot for two more weeks. I’ve done pretty well with my workouts. Had one bad week with too much drinking and other party favorites, but it was fun. It coincided with a five day power outage due to a crazy storms.
The goal was to maintain strength and stay sane and I think I’ve accomplished that and then some.
I am hoping to start climbing easy stuff on one foot Friday at the gym. It will be on top rope with no fall potential. I’m sure I’ve lost a ton of endurance. I can’t wait to be back on the wall.

Thanks for a spot to share and the motivation.

A little whining and some old man grunting for me. Last memorable time I was destroyed was from a big day of cross country skiing. I’m relatively new to it. Legs were sore and hip flexors specifically hurt so bad for days.
Oh I meant to ask, has anyone here taken a barre class and lived to tell the tale?
No barre for me, but you can do it!
