🧘🏼‍♂️🤾🏻‍♀️Getting Sweaty Again: The 3rd Circuit 🚴🏼‍♂️🏋🏼‍♀️

Oh no, I hadn’t realized that Sally left :-(

Just wanted to leave a little note here in case she checks in. Good luck with your move and please take care of yourself. Your determination while you trained to make the roller derby team was so inspiring to me. I also thought you were so funny and kind, and I will really miss you. If you come back, please say hello. You were one of my favorite people here. 🌷

Sally is so lovely - as are you! - and I really hope she's ok and just needs some time to adjust to the changes in her life

I had no idea til I saw this! Agreed, Sally is so inspiring and such a lovely person

Sally, hope you pop by some point, and moreover, hope the move is going great, and that you get people properly enthused about roller derby there!

Happy Saturday, all. I've been in recovery mode after a race a couple of weeks ago, it was the longest run I'd ever run, but today feels like my first real day back to running. I've been doing some minor stuff, but a proper rest is key... but apparently that's over according to my coach. 😂

But it's well before 7 and it's already pretty light, I think the temp is above freezing, is spring finally here?! I'm sure Mother Nature will blast us now that I've asked.

Congrats!! That always feels amazing when you hit that "wow I just realized I've never gone this far before" moment!

I should really be better about rest and recovery

Sunday serenity - one day late.

I didn’t know if I was going to make it. I always forget how bad March is. Phew. Don’t talk to any teachers in March and April. We are even more unpleasant than usual.

But I somehow I made it and I’m on spring break and I’m unwinding a tad. I’m feeling aches and pains in my neck and shoulders. Does that happen to you? You get soreness from stress? Well, it does happen to me.

I’m taking some longer walks while on break. I’m reading. I’m sleeping. I’m cooking. It’s been really nice already.

Hoping that everyone is doing well and taking time to take care of yourselves.

Yesterday was the first day back after a two week break due to the groin pull. It was a good weight session- only hitch was doing Squats (I could feel the muscle was not quite right.) Today should be a walk/slow jog, but there's errands and yardwork to do. I'm not sure if it will get squeezed in or not. 🤔

Seems like everyone is on their shit!! Awesome and I love hearing well reading about everyone's commitment. Frequency beats I tensity .... So don't beat yourselves up over amount or time

I'm in a taper which I hate. It just means I'm antsy and bored and horny and hungry and jittery is all 😂 just 8 days until I catch that bus to the start. Probably get in a nice wash mid mileage run today and try real hard not to over eat!

Yardwork often ends up becoming a squat workout as it is. So much bending over!!!

What is your breakfast like:
1. On a regular weekday?
2. On a regular weekend?
3. On vacation?

My boredom levels and attitude could definitely be better. 3 more weeks on crutches. Not doing as well eating a healthy breakfast. Looking for motivation in the bottom of my coffee cup. Had an extra drink Saturday night and missed my workout Sunday. Had a good workout yesterday with a friend, but probably shouldn’t have followed it up with drinks. At least I switched to 4% beer and no hangover. 🤷‍♂️

I love breakfast options. I'd eat it every meal if it made sense.

On a weekday, I'm generally a 2EG - my difference is a my fruit is a banana with peanut butter.
On a weekend, I'm generally a A13E
On vacation, I'm the whole page. I would eat all of that and more.

I think it’s the black coffee that puts them off.
On vacation, I’ll eat whatever I can get. I’m not picky, as long as I’m not hungry after.
I went to black coffee for a long time when I did intermittent fasting. It was a big adjustment. I love having one cup of coffee with cream in the morning. That was the hardest thing to give up but I adjusted. It was fine with good coffee. But with bad or weak coffee? Ugh, it’s swill.

Well you’ve got some obstacles there and you’re still getting to your workouts. We can’t be perfect all the time, right? I wouldn’t be so hard on yourself. Plus, I would think you wouldn’t want to push yourself too hard if you’re still on crutches. You want to heal totally so you can get back to your full strength. You didn’t ask my opinion but it sounds to me like you’re doing great.
