In the what made you say "fuck" today category....
went into Clinic to do my Jan report due to the state no later than tomorrow only to set off the security alarm. In the panic of all the audible alarms going off I gave the wrong pass phrase to the alarm company. When they called the admin gal (who I'd already given the heads up to), they hung up before she answered her phone after only 2 rings.
The alarm security ph # we all have in our wallets has been disconnected. By the time I got the right number and called them back with the right pass phrase, they'd called the cops. So the cops showed up and then left after simply believing me when I said I was on staff. And 20 minutes later the head MD showed up (because they hadn't provided my name so I could be verified as staff).

OMG Cas Im so sorry..
 
I realised yesterday that it had ne en 31 years since I saw one of my cousins the last time - and that I haven't seen another for almost 20 years. And one family friend for 24 years. They are all in the same age group with my parents (and my cousins feel more like siblings to my dad than his much older actual siblings did).

We came to one conclusion in unison: we need to see more often than this in the future - they probably won't live another 20-30 years. We need to see more often than once in a decade.

I'll drink to that...
