Day 16 - A song from the 60s about Food and Family 🍬 🧑🧑🧒🧒

Okay, so I'm gonna need a deliberation on this one, as it scratches the theme of food and family, but it's also bringing big Thanksgiving energy 🤣

And basically I'm an asshole that wants you to listen to the whole thing. Because it's fucking amazing.

A song from the 80s (Family)

I thank my family for my musical passion. My mom (folk music) and dad (old timey country).

My sisters who took me to see the Exploited and Kraut when I was 13 and gave me my love for the Clash.

And my cousin who I’ve seen dozens of gigs with. We are trouble… especially together. He is far from perfect!

Plus it has one of the best lyrics ever.

His mother bought him a synthesizer
Got the Human League into advise her…

The Undertones - My Perfect Cousin (1980)

60s Mothers and Fathers (psychedelic)
70s Family Life (Punk/Oi!)
80s My Perfect Cousin (pop punk)

Day 18: A song from the 80s

Apparently I've never picked this song. I'm mildly shocked. It's one of my favorite songs ever.
The Clash - Rock The Casbah
My sister came over Sunday nite so we could take care of some legal and financial stuff from my mom’s passing earlier this year.

We got ever so slightly drunk w a few shots and a few beers (my wife and daughter too) while I made dinner and we listened to albums we all grew up with. First Let it Bleed by the Stones. then Combat Rock to which we all started dancing like idiots. My wife took a video… I can’t and won’t share it.
😂🙃😜😬😬

But the clash will always be a a part of my musical repertoire. I will always thank my sisters for it.
