It took me far too long in life to learn how to embrace this.

Bittersweet but magnificent - the song acknowledges the innocence of youthful hope and the pain of crushed hope, but reaffirms the endless river of life at the end, followed by one of Gilmour's very best guitar solos (meaning, one of the very best guitar solos that you could hear). This is the shorter studio version with a fascinating video, but the live versions are even better musically IMHO.
