I can Travis pick, but not like this. He makes a 6string sound like 2 different guitarsAlmost no one can, not the way Buckingham does it. This is an incredibly difficult song to play.

I did some sound engineering, and I am a percussionist rather than a musician (heh), but I had a guitarist explain to me one time how complicated the finger picking with the chord shapes are to pull off at speed, along with the polyrhythms. He was a remarkable player, professional for years, and still couldn't do it the same at speed.I can Travis pick, but not like this. He makes a 6string sound like 2 different guitars
And then Buckingham works to keep Nick's song about her side of the break-up, and arguably one of the finest songs she had ever written, off the album for spite. Then they put it as the B side to "Go Your Own Way" as a single. This was one of the most beautifully fucked up albums in the history of music. This is an unbelievable song. Imagine someone writing this scathing breakup song about you. Imagine it being your bandmate. Then imagine singing backup vocals on one of the greatest fuck you songs of all time. Stevie Nicks certainly fucked around with some of the most famous rockers in all of rock history, but she took her insults like a champ and sang some fantastic backing vocals on one of their best songs. Mr. Buckingham is just superb on this song in ever my way.

Sorry for the brief thread derailment @morelikeasong. If you need to spank me or anything, we can discuss this later. I’m graphic detail.
Needed 2 players. There must be someone in the world that can emulate itI did some sound engineering, and I am a percussionist rather than a musician (heh), but I had a guitarist explain to me one time how complicated the finger picking with the chord shapes are to pull off at speed, along with the polyrhythms. When Lindsey left, they replaced him with Neil Finn and Mike Campbell together.
They did it on Glee, with nine acoustic guitarists playing at once. I thought that was a clever way to acknowledge the complexity of it.Needed 2 players. There must be someone in the world that can emulate it
