Day 16: A song that mentions one or more birds

This song has been a great comfort to me at various times in my life... when I was lost and directionless, and circling the drain, going down... especially that first and last verse... "Danger bird, he flies alone/ And he rides the wind back to his home/ And though these wings have turned to stone/ I can fly, fly, fly away..." Thank you, Neil. Luv the inimitable guitar sound, as well. Fantastic!

Neil Young and Crazy Horse - Danger Bird

Day 16: A song that mentions one or more birds

It's late in the day and I ran through the posts to make sure no one had posted this...

Three Little Birds - Bob Marley and the Wailers

More casual fans of Bob assume this song's title is "Don't Worry 'Bout a Thing" or "Every Little Thing's Gonna Be Alright."

But the "Three Little Birds Pitch By My Doorstep" mentioned in the first verse give the song its name.

This requires no introduction, but may require therapy afterward. No ducks 🦆 were harmed in the making of this video.

+2

As a former Oregon student, I support this completely. Gotta love the O...

So for clarification, if I had multiple female artists from Ireland that mentioned Ireland, green, booze, and luck, that would be eligible for +7 points?

Looks like I missed a number, a flower, and a bird. I thought I'd found one that covered all three, but I was mishearing a lyric on closer inspection. So, I decided to go digging for

a number

a flower

and a bird

No points for Femme Fatale since I was DQ'd early on.

@morelikeasong can I get a rules clarification?

Since it's the '60s, unless a band was super popular, chances are a recording of any song, especially if it wasn't a hit single, from that year or decade might not exist on the internet. I'm that case, can we take any recording of the song we fine if we can prove it's original recording date was in the appropriate decade?

This particular tie in with the points scheme presents an issue we've not really run into yet.

Also, are we going by East Coast time for posting eligibility, or local time? I forget.
