Day 9: A song that’s on a movie soundtrack

This was on The Big Chill….A special song for me as it was written by my late cousin.

WOW- you were related to Robbie Robertson. Damn. That is one of my favorite songs of all time.

My friend and I were just talking about this movie yesterday while talking about ska and punk bands. He's been trying to get me to watch it forever and I forget to look for it.

Great movie. I highly recommend it. It’s aged really well.

And highly quotable.

“society made me do it…. Society is to blame…” (Used frequently in my home for when I make a mistake - even my kids have been using it for years.)

Senior year of high school my parents moved to Florida and I basically couch surfed staying in vacant homes of snowbirds.

To entertain myself I watched the only vhs tape I owned. Everyday.

*Edited when I realized I typed dvd when dvds hadn’t been invented yet. It was definitely a vhs tape. Be kind, rewind.*

The best comedy of all time. The best musical of all time. The best movie of all time??? (It’s my favorite)

When my middle school boyfriend broke up with me, this song had recently come out and I remember listening to it over and over and crying in my room .
I can’t remember if I would have had it pirated from limewire (or something similar at that time like Ares) or I would have pirated it from the radio by recording it onto a cassette.
