❌Monthly Song Challenge: Archived🎵

I just realized/learned that this riff that one of my favorite poets uses at the beginning & end of their poem “I Do” is actually from a song. This song! And it’s a great one. Thank for you this share 💖.
I hit play on the song and I was like, wait a minute—this sounds so familiar!

When visiting hours are for family members only, I wanna know they’ll let me in
I was raised on a mix of doo-wop and classic rock. I cannot count the number of times I sang that riff at the top of .lungs to annoy my mom while she was on the phone (usually with my aunt who I knew would laugh, which would just make my mom more grumpy 🤭)

Did you just violate one of your own rules? 🤭

Day 1: A song with the word "moon"
I'm uncertain if I earned a song pass for the last challenge but I think I did.

My top 3 "moon" songs are all somehow available.

One is obscure and maybe just appeals to me, so I'll leave that off my list. The other 2 amaze me that no one has chosen, especially since the artist of one of them already was selected.

Echo and The Bunnymen - The Killing Moon

Day 29: A song by the first band you ever saw live

Been gone plus vertigo so catch up time...also dating myself and great concert

Sly and the Family Stone, "Hot Fun in the Summertime"
