I was raised on a mix of doo-wop and classic rock. I cannot count the number of times I sang that riff at the top of .lungs to annoy my mom while she was on the phone (usually with my aunt who I knew would laugh, which would just make my mom more grumpyI just realized/learned that this riff that one of my favorite poets uses at the beginning & end of their poem “I Do” is actually from a song. This song! And it’s a great one. Thank for you this share.
I hit play on the song and I was like, wait a minute—this sounds so familiar!
