Happy Monday!!! Sunny, getting cooler. December will be here next week. Foot is still a bit sore. Walking is backed off and we're working back into it. I reckon that we overdid. Replaced the keyboard because the mouse wheel kicked it and they're a matched pair. Cats are good.

Some observations of the last week:
I seem to spend a lot of time trying not to die from ignorance…
Having to Calm doctors is really weird when it’s you who needs their help.
How the heck did I break my iwatch band? A new talent?

Well, I managed to finally get some made at 10:40am... right before a waste of time meeting.

All I can say - people around here best be glad I'm not in charge of hiring/firing certain staff. Or a certain someone would be out on their today!! Sure wish mgmt would get wise to the fact that this person does not know how to do their job and is causing problems for everyone around them and everything they touch!!!

That is all... back to time

I considered giving you all the benefit of my grinch diatribe on Christmas but decided that would bring the mood down too much
Suffice to say I'm not a fan, mainly in terms of the intolerable commercial pressure heaped on families in the months leading up to it. Aaaand relax.....

I agree entirely but it’s easy solved ….go,back to…..it’s about families! Always was and is in my family. No excesses, no massive expenditure. I will spend the day with my mom and brother driving 6 hours to do it!

Continuation - We go to the self serve kiosk and it’s in a different row/bin than what’s in the ticket. We go there, and there are none in stock. I get an employee involved and he can’t find one. Now they are getting ready to close and I’m on my third option. We finally get it, pay, load it, and drive the 60 miles home. We get home and I’m fucking exhausted. It’s still in the back of the van waiting for me to assemble it tonight.

So.... did it get assembled?

With my food sensitivities, it's been @ a decade since I've been able to participate.

I knew someone who ran a company that let employees leave 2 hours before the end of the day. He had an employee have an accident when they left and filed for workman's compensation. Employee sued the company saying they never would have had the accident if they were still at work and the company was caught up in the suit from the employee, as well as workman's comp lawsuit.

This sounds like the way to Christmas! Years ago, my husband and I decided not to buy each other presents.

And my family don't buy presents. We're all in a list to donate to each other's charitable causes. My sister is keeper of the list, draws the names, and sends out assignments yearly. Only the little children get gifts.

I, of course, decorate because I'm a bit crazy like that. And I bake. On Christmas day, I would make a special meal. Then we could sit on the couch, look at the lights, and talk. It was calm and bright without the frenzy of present opening.

That is such a wonderful memory
