I'm the opposite. I assume it's adults until otherwise shown. Probably because I called my ex Papa in everyday conversations around the children when they were little.

Oh, I assume they are adults, and it isn't squicky. But both times a partner called me "daddy" while in the act, I had an instant...deflateive reaction.

LOL I know how you feel about that word. I don’t have a problem with it at all as long as it’s clear it’s DD/lg, and not actual father/daughter. My objections to that are both due to the increased possibility of genetic defects and the frequency of grooming and/or abuse that occurs in such relationships. The 2nd ick still applies to step-parents who raise their step-children from a young age. Grooming and child abuse and sexual exploitation are not okay for anyone, related or not. Major icks for me!

Very fair and reasonable, and I personally agree with all of those points.

Totally with you. Given the power relationship it is so not good. Met someone on here on the wrong end of this she has done an amazing job of overcoming but there are scars. Just so wrong.
