They are like salt, to season, not make a meal of. I live in the ellipses. The one that gets me in trouble in the em-dash. I think so parenthetically that I can end up with multiple in a single sentence, which @vagrantx has called me out on before.

I was a pretty big hip hop fan in my younger years (Ice Cube, Ice-T, NWA) so this kind of thing would happen to me on occasion while driving.lol I remember being in HS and going to Best Buy to purchase the Beastie Boys' Hello Nasty. The first track, Super Disco Breakin', has a siren about 40 seconds into it. We popped it in and pulled out of the parking lot, and when that thing went off, we looked all around and took a good 30 seconds to realize it was on the song.
