I remember Monkeyball but not Monkey Island. But that strip really hits home. I love Halo too, great memories

Whoa! There's another 3 games to add to your games-list. Monkey Island 1-2 were for the Amiga back in the 80s/90s, and the third one (curse of monkey island) came out in the late 90s. A beautiful hand-drawn point and click pirate adventure game with hilarious voice acting! 1-2 were remastered in HD with voice acting, and they're all on steam!

1. I definitely self-edit if I get personal. I'm also not afraid to be real and share. That's just who I am. There's always going to be some do-nothing bitch waiting for your downfall. But remember too, they're most likely that way with everybody.
2. Absolutely true. Having a shitty partner, family, or friends definitely makes things harder. Having good people around is a support system.
3. True. If 10 people come to your show instead of 100 that's still 10 people that saw you and enjoyed you. That is GOOD.
4. I do like how this is phrased. It's not some meaningless LinkedIn bullshit. If you work hard and put yourself out there you aren't guaranteed success but your CHANCES improve.
5. Work on yourself and not others. I can dig it.
6. Take a breath and choose your next words carefully. And that's a skill I utilized recently which was fun.

Today is Black Tot Day, which marks the date --July 31, 1970-- when the Royal Navy's daily rum ration stopped and the final tot was served onboard Royal Navy ships.

Also, corporal punishment was suspended in 1879. Which means that of "rum, sodomy, and the lash," only one remains...
