The current state of the game development industry doesn't let people just up and quit a studio only because they don't like Rowling. It's not easy to take such a heavy handed moral stance when your livelihood is at stake - finding a new gig is notoriously hard post-covid, and more and more devs are going into corporate software instead of games. It's the ones with passion who remain.Nah. It’s not like they were kidnapped and forced to rebuild the Deathstar. They chose to work on that project. Also, most of the people who worked on it already got paid their hourly wages or salary while working on it and do not receive royalties.
Higher sales means a better CV, it's not like royalties are the only reason why devs would want their game to do well..
Also the game itself isn't written by her, and includes a plethora of lesbian, queer, trans characters and voice actors...
Think we're just going to have to agree to disagree here.
