Biden's out

Are people forgetting that Obama had the least executive experience of any modern President.
Lol. I’m angry cos…

Dammit! Is he though? Really? Define modern.

IMO trump has been our most corrupt.
But dammit bush jr was, ugh, incompetent isn’t even the right word.

Sir, I question the executive experience of the silver spoon governor of Texas!!!

I've been reading people on Twitter pointing out that Biden waited until AFTER Trump accepted the Republican nomination before making this announcement, so now the GOP is stuck with Donald.

I was dismayed at first when I heard that Biden had stepped down, but now I think we're witnessing the greatest political rope-a-dope ever pulled off. The President spent months taking all the hits, now he steps aside and lets a fresh young fighter come roaring into the ring.

All the concerns about Biden's age now work against Trump.

All the chatter about "the Biden crime family" is worthless now with the cop candidate squaring off against the

Ah the ignorance. Hindu isn't an "ancestry."
Oh, OK she part... India, ya know Indian from India.... /Hindu..... what ever??

If we're talking Government Executive experience, Donny had virtually none at all.
fypyw
Oh, OK she part... India, ya know Indian from India.... /Hindu..... what ever??
*facepalm*

so in your blissful, racist ignorance you don't recognise the other religions and castes of the Indian population, and are totally blasé about equating religion with ethnicity. got it.

I guess my point is there are plenty of inexperienced politicians who do okay when elected to the White House. If you spent time around the Oval Office that is executive experience to me. So Kamala has more experience running the country than Obama did in 2008.

But Obama was a fast learner. Look what he inherited. Yes, from the Texas Governor that I voted for back then.

The upshot is that this isn't going to be a clean swap because there are hurdles which need to be overcome and that's going to require a lawsuit. That lawsuit doesn't have to be done from animas, this is a unique situation never encountered before and the rules/process need determined and clarified. That's going to require that a judge look at the situation and facts and then make a decision on what the law is and what it allows.

This is the right way to do it regardless of party.

No need for courts. Joe Biden dropped out before the nomination was made. Several legal experts have weighed in - even conservative ones - saying that there is nothing to fight in court.

There are no legal experts in this because this is the very first time this has ever happened. There is no precedent to rely upon.

That means that anyone with an opinion at this stage is just guessing and hoping they're correct.

I want to know. I want to know beyond a shadow of a doubt what the law is in this situation. I don't want to guess and hope, I want to absolutely know.

And so should you and everyone else.

As for your "experts" there are states which prohibit any other name being on the ballot except the one certified by the convention as the nominee. That's where it gets really messy when you start looking at the nomination rules, pledged delegates, and super duper delegates.

Again, you should want this. EVERYONE should want this.

You know beyond a doubt that you have a right to vote for the candidate of your choice in November. There is no question about that.

There should be no question come this November that the candidate you vote for is a LAWFUL candidate. Not because you want to believe that way, because that only leads to chaos, but because you and I and everyone else knows beyond a doubt that it's true.

I have no dog in this fight. All I want is clarity. Actual fact based, adjudicated based on the law and evidence, clarity. You should too because no matter which way the gavel falls there are options to make your choice this November a legal choice. The longer that finality is delayed, the closer to November it gets and your options become more and more limited until you have none.

It's rather charming that you think your expansive knowledge of the law extends to the opposing party's rules and delegation selection processes.

I wish you had this level of concern when the Republicans unilaterally threw their platform creation bylaws out the window in 2020, I think it was Mitch McConnell who said that the Republican platform is whatever the President wants it to be (!!!)

Whether you choose to recognize the legitimacy of Kamala Harris as the "legal" candidate of the Democratic party is irrelevant. The Democrats appear to have chosen her to be their standard bearer for the sake of expediency. and are willing to fight for her. Speaker Mike Johnson promised "lawfare" to keep her "legally" off the ballot, perhaps you can assist HIM in his Quixotic Quest.
