I like every inch, but yeah, nipples are great. Why? Because in sex, they are kind of like cheating. A woman's body has numerous erogenous zones, but they vary, and it can take time to find where some of them are. (When you do, when you map out that sensual topography? Oh, yeah). And yes, it was a fight between a huge business that didn't want to change and a company that abetted and encouraged outright theft, but rather than the two sides coming to a model that would work, they fought, and we now end up with a system where both music creation and consumption has been completely devalued, especially by those who came of age during the streaming era. Technology outsourced art. Now you have companies dropping AI created songs that get streamed by bots to bump numbers.

I disagree about the artists being as affected by lack of record sales. It is the record company that suffers. Artists have always made more money touring.

Hardly anyone listens to the radio anymore yet that was a free way to listen to music. It was also the best publicity for the artists. Now we pay for that service. I see music sharing as a way to get your music listened to.

I'm not convinced that pirating music alone has "ruined" the music industry. Let's look at the record companies who exploit their artists a little closer. Maybe that has more to do with it. Just my two cents.

Artist haven’t necessarily made more money from touring. The Beatles are a great example of that. I think artist are forced now to tour more because it’s necessary for their income

The 60's were full of artists getting swindled by their managers and record labels.

I'm sure a struggling artist who is just starting out can't garner $500-$5,000 tickets for their concerts like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. So, it probably is more difficult. If I could make all my money from record sales without ever having to perform live, I'd be thrilled. It's a tough gig I'm sure.

One of the greatest gifts to radio... the BBC. Ad-free (in the UK at least). BBC Radio 6music is irreplaceable.

One of the greatest gifts to radio... the BBC. Ad-free (in the UK at least). BBC Radio 6music is irreplaceable.

Definitely swindled by record labels and managers. The 50’s and 60’s.

Artists are paid barely anything if someone streams their music. I have a cousin who can attest to this fact.

You are correct. Streaming doesn’t pay them much either. Lars was an ass. And that even before we get into how fucked up IP law is to start.
