Yes, I could feel the milk flowing during the “let down” reflex. It wasnt really pleasurable when I was nursing, more of a relief.Do you feel physical pleasure from this, or is it more of an emotional pleasure? When nursing, your nipples are very sensitive and they can hurt and be a little raw (for the lack of a better word), right? But is that because the baby is gnawing on them? Or is there discomfort simply from having milk flow through your nipples?
I can only compare this to ejaculation, which it probably doesn’t feel anything like. Or does it?
I think what I’m asking is, can you actually feel the milk flowing out of your breast and does it feel good?
Let down HURTS! It feels like ice picks stabbing my boobs. That sensation didn't stop, ever, it got slightly less painful as the months went on, but if I'd known weed would make it less so or even vaguely enjoyable, I'd have delved into gummies 20 years ago!Yes, I could feel the milk flowing during the “let down” reflex. HOWEVER, I did have a little incident where I was a tiny bit stoned and also had to pump. That’s how I discovered there’s a completely different way the let down can feel. I’ll leave it at that. I’m sure it’s detailed in Sally’s thread.
Oh no! I’m sorry it was so painful for you. There were other aspects that were painful/difficult for me but the letdown thankfully wasn’t one of them.Let down HURTS! The lactation specialist was just amazed at how much I produced and said that must be a side effect of being so "efficient". I know it's painful for other women, but that sensation usually goes away in a few weeks and you just get a feeling of relief. I just had to grin & bear it. Upside: I had the fattest little butterball babies ever! For height they were usually 50th percentile. However, weight, the the doctor just put the 'greater than' symbolOh no! Lol we had similar situations. Huge oversupply and chunky babiesUpside: I had the fattest little butterball babies ever! For height they were usually 50th percentile. However, weight, the the doctor just put the 'greater than' symbol![]()
And here I always credited the plumpness of our kids on my “oversupply” at conception.Lol we had similar situations. Huge oversupply and chunky babies![]()
My wife had an entirely different experience with breast feeding. Let down was stupid painful and the whole time she nursed it was painful.I feel pleasure with nursing. Lots of it. It can be emotional too depending on the person I'm with. Your nipples shouldn't hurt while nursing, if they do it's most likely because of the mouth that's nursing you. For example, if it's a baby, there could be something structurally going on preventing their tongue to thrust forward far enough, or not having a good seal, which is when they bite and struggle. With an adult, they have a bigger mouth and you can communicate the feelings and they can adjust as you go. Biting is only for fun.
I can orgasm from adult nursing but the orgasm is different than any other, and it's intense.
While some women might not like the sensation, I loved the heat it created as they started, and the feel of the milk flow. I go into detail on these things in my thread My Milky Journey.
This is what I thought about breastfeeding. Maybe not that it was painful, but that it was at least not a pleasant experience. My wife had an entirely different experience with breast feeding. Let down was stupid painful and the whole time she nursed it was painful.
Cabbage leaves and yogurt for the win!Are we ready to talk mastitis and yeast infections yet?!?

I'm so sorry. I had HG with my second and spent seven months vomiting. It was awful. You have my deepest respect and condolences there. There were moments I wanted to die because I was so miserable.I couldn't breastfeed with my first. I had severe hyperemesis gravidarum in both my pregnancies, but it was worse with the first and the milk I produced just was no good.
Nah, I was married to an L&D nurse. I am used to it.Oh, I see how it is...
You only want our boobs when they're convenient and delightful![]()
I am so sorry you had to go through that. My ex had HG early on in her pregnancy, and it was horrible for her. She marked it down as the Nurse Curse.I couldn't breastfeed with my first. It was managed better with my second. It never hurt to breastfeed. Prior to that, I hated my nipples being touched. But since then, I have much less sensitivity, which sounds odd but is a good thing for me.
