I read recently that a majority of women prefer men with beards or whiskers over clean shaved faces.

I have no preference. Not scratchy. But other than that, not fussed.

Clean shaven or neatly trimmed are both great. The in between can hurt sensitive skin, but thankfully that phase doesn’t last long.

The longer, scraggly beards are a huge turn off for me.
