A gang of anti-Israel thugs attacked an orthodox shul in LA today. The Jews knew they were coming because of chatter on social media and begged the police to protect them, but the cops said they’d been ordered to “stand down”.

Thanks. It’s very scary. The orthodox neighborhood that was attacked today is only a few miles away from where I live. The encampments at UCLA were bad enough, but at least the antisemitism there was confined to campus. It didn’t spill out into the surrounding Jewish and Persian neighborhoods. The rumors I’m seeing on J-Twitter claim the pro-Palestinian gang drove up from Orange County specifically to target Jews.Stay safe out there BSG.
And try to stay shiny.
Any group or individual that is proven to have traveled to a place of worship, a women’s healthcare facility, a gay nightclub, a racial / ethnic college / community building, etc, with the intention of causing a disturbance of any kind, should be charged with a hate crime that carries a minimum sentence of a year behind bars.
Enough of this shit.
The fact that the police were given advanced warning and they allowed things to develop and escalate is dereliction of duty and gross negligence, imho.

This happened in a New Brunswick Canada high school.
A teenaged girl, recently immigrant to Canada from Israel, randomly tears the hajib off of a Muslim girl in a school parking lot. The Muslim girl is enraged. She pulls a hoodie over her hair to replace her hajib and then runs screaming after the Israeli girl (who is walking away with her boyfriend).
The girl's yelling gets phone cameras going from other students.
The Muslim girl starts pounding the Israeli girl mercilessly. Muslim girl realizes her hoodie/hajib has slipped again, she pauses to adjust hair covering and Israeli girl kicks Muslim girl in the head. The boyfriend (and everyone else) are all standing around watching this. A teacher (???) seems to walk over to the boyfriend and inquires about what is going on.
Israeli girl grabs Muslim girl in a headlock and tries to peel off hajib/hoodie again, Muslim girl expertly reverses and takes Israeli girl to the ground, and proceeds to deliver 7 or 8 rabbit punches to the Israeli girl's face. Israeli girl screams STOP! and teacher decides to break things up.
The Israeli girls takes her humiliation out on the teacher "WHY DID YOU GIVE HER PERMISSION TO PUNCH MEEEEE?"
The teacher calmly replies "Why did you give yourself permission to remove her hajib?"
At this point, it's simply a stupid video of a bully getting her comeuppance.

Damn, Rob; you sure interpreted the unfortunate event revealed in that video (and the events leading up to it) in the most biased / one-sided manner possible.
How disappointing.
a) We have no idea why the YOUNGER Jewish girl pulled the hijab off the OLDER Muslim girl’s head. -The video doesn’t show that. The OLDER Muslim girl could have easily provoked the YOUNGER Jewish girl for being from Israel due to the Gaza situation, etc.
b) When the actual fight begins, the OLDER Muslim girl races up from BEHIND the YOUNGER Jewish girl and sucker punches her - getting many shots in before the YOUNGER Jewish girl can mount a defense.
c) Kicked her (the OLDER Muslim girl who attacker from BEHIND) in the head??? The YOUNGER Jewish girl was on her back trying to fend off the OLDER Muslim girl after the surprise attack from BEHIND.
d) If a teacher was present, then they SHOULD have intervened when the OLDER Muslim girl attacked the YOUNGER Jewish girl from BEHIND and began to pummel her.

I readily admit that I have discarded any effort at being objective quite a while back, around the time when Israel killed the 10,000th or so civilian casualty in their Godless Genocide campaign.
The latest responses to the Israeli-Canadian girl committing a religious-fueled bigoted hate crime against the Muslim girl is further evidence of the extraordinary measures that Israel supporters are taking to twist the narrative to fit their preconceived political agenda. No fabrication is to great to remove culpability from Israel's (and Israeli's) misdeeds.
The focus on the attacker being OLDER than the YOUNGER girl who committed the hate crime in the first place is a very weak justification. AGE had nothing to do with this altercation. RELIGIOUS HATRED has everything to do with this altercation, but because the hate crime was perpetrated by an Israeli teenager, we're being told to focus on OLDER and YOUNGER as if that's some sort of justification....

Your pleas for me to "be better" fall on deaf ears. I remain convinced that I hold the moral high ground with my insistence that Israel should immediately cease their senseless and inhumane slaughter.
Any reply containing a reference to October 7th as a continuing justification for all Israeli war crimes will receive a canned response: "Don't build the 'world's largest open air prison' if you're not going to staff the gates. The 'inmates' will notice and act accordingly".
