Sex & Shenanigans

Question for you, and anyone that would like to answer.

How often do you re-read a book? By extension, how often do you rewatch a show or movie?

I was saying this to our favourite monkey boy the other day that I don't typically rewatch a show or movie because there are just too many I haven't yet seen and rewatching something just takes away from that.

I am the same with books. I have never ever reread a book.
My very favorite books I've read 5 or 6 times. Most books I read once, especially if its a longer series.

Comfort tv and movies I'll rewatch over and over. They help settle me when my brain goes into dark places. My wife knows that if she comes home and I'm watching "Gilmore Girls" or "Parks and Rec" AGAIN, then I'm going through it. And if "Dazed and Confused" is on, I'm DEEP in the muck.

But in general if I like a book or a movie or a show, I'll re-read or re-watch it.
It also helps that I have an irregular schedule that sometimes gives me a lot of downtime.

I reread books constantly. Every day. Sometimes the same book three times in a row (my limit, I have to draw the line somewhere). 🤣

Ok, barring baby books, I rarely reread a book. Occasionally, for various reasons… but with books I generally crave novelty.

TV shows and movies, I rewatch all the time. I’d say 75-85% rewatch. It’s so comforting to me. Also my memory is terrible so even though I’m never surprised by what’s happening, I can’t always tell you what’s coming next.
