According to Bragg, but NOT the evidence since this wasn't ever entered into evidence, Trump had Cohen get Daniels to agree to the NDA in order to keep the affair quiet so that no one knew about it BEFORE the election. That way his public reputation wouldn't be soured and possibly lose votes.

So the unalleged and evidence lacking underlying felony allegedly occurred prior to the election. You know, during the summer/fall.
