I just thought this criminal trial, regarding Trump's illegal (allegedly, but c'mon) hush money payments, accounting, and reporting, should have its own thread. I'm sure next Monday, there will be a tsunami of news, and if not before then. Feel free to post any relevant stories or videos (on BOTH sides 🙄) here.

I have no doubt that Ol' Babydoll Hands isn't done filing frivolous motions and lawsuits. And I wouldn't be shocked if his cronies on the Supreme Court step in at some point. But as of this post, it's full steam ahead on the first criminal trial of a former president in United States history.

As of today, three attempts to delay have been rejected, just two working days before the trial starts on Monday. Trump's commentary today violated the gag order - go figure. Will it get a rise out of the judge in the morning if DA Bragg gets around to complaining about it?

Newscasters are holding their breath, wondering what rabbit-out-the-hat trick Trump has left in the next two days.

I hope Stormy gets an orgasm this time, along with the majority of Americans who are disgusted with his corruption.

Drain the swamp.
According to Stormy, Donnie did it in less than ninety seconds. This trial is expected to go six weeks. That's time for lots and lots of big 'Os' for Stormy. Trump undoubtedly will be sweating bullets when she takes the stand for at least an hour.:nana:

Three straight days, three straight smackdowns for Ol' Babydoll Hands and his desperate last grasps at straws. As of this moment, the biggest trial in US history will start on Monday. But maybe we'll get lucky and Donald will just die over the weekend.

Interesting video.
Basically Trump now has two hail-Mary tactics left:
1. Fire his lawyers at the 11th hour ("I will need six months to bring my new attorneys up to speed!")
2. "I am too ill to attend trial! *cough *cough"

The problem with #1 is judge's can disapprove firing attorneys ESPECIALLY given Herr Trump's history of dilatory delay tactics (not sure if JimArpy is licensed in NY to take over either).

Oh, no, no, no. I want Trump to continue to suffer through multiple trials and incarceration.

However, at some point I expect him to take a one-way trip to Hungary or Saudi Arabia.
If they revive the child sex abuse lawsuit against Groomer Trump (remember he slapped a 13 year old for crying too much whilst he deflowered her vaginally), Trump sole option might be Armenia, which does not extradite for sex crimes (which we found out when Texas Rapepublican Bo Dresner got nabbed at San Antonion Texas Airport while out on bond). The guy was arrested on 61 counts of child sex abuse and he was leaving for good with a dozen flash drives of his enormous kiddie pic library). Dresner got 410 years in prison.

Yes, he has used that exact tactic before.

lol, Then the Judge can appoint him a public defender....

I am pretty sure Trump's had to put up a pretty sizeable retainer for his lawyers. If I was a lawyer for Trump I'd make sure I had a "if you fire me, I keep the paid up to-date amount" clause....

Has he ever paid his lawyers? I know he's paid Rudy some, but certainly not all of what he owes that oil-slick-on-legs. I think the rest of them are still waiting. And I think Alina Haba just does it so she can be the next Faux News personality. Or to jump start her OnlyFans.

I'm pretty sure that he's had to pay up front since he stiffed those lawyers over the fake electors/overturn the election cases. It's estimated he paid 76 Million since 2023. Well his supporters have paid would be correct, after all he's been grifting them with his political Pacs

Right. I so wanted to hear the judge say that Trump himself has caused well over half of the publicity, so he can go suck a lemon on this.

LATER: I found that the judge, in fact, said just this in denying Trump's request.

Trump should be glad he is just a lowly 'billionaire' in the USA. One of his real 'billionaire' mogul friends, a woman, just completed her trials for fraud in Vietnam. So egregious was her fraud involving about $8Billion that the court sentenced her to death. Now that woman's skills puts Trump's antics to shame. He should have consulted her about a loan for his bond. She'd probably be toast before he gets around to paying it back.

Trump should be glad he is only facing income tax fraud that amounts to a few days in jail or possible house arrest for 'piddling' around with Stormy and Cohen.

I guess the 11th time wasn't the charm for Ol' Babydoll Hands. The funniest part starts around 12:00 in. It comes from the transcript of weisselberg taking the plea deal for committing perjury. He is asked if he understands that he must tell the truth in his pleading or face a perjury charge. They're warning the guy who's PLEADING GUILTY TO PERJURY not to perjure himself.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I don't really think so. As every time in the past, he won't actually take the stand.
I'm surprised he hasn't in the past. Generally that is a smart strategy, especially for a loose cannon like Trump, but for that very reason I'm surprised his lawyers were able to convince him to keep his mouth shut.
