My cheap, poor grad student POS car's electrical system once died while crossing 2 lanes of oncoming traffic while leaving my internship.

I got out to push it to at least get it in the middle turn lane, and thankfully some nice high schoolers at the Taco Bell saw and rescued me with a push to the parking lot.

It's kinda funny, my list of car's I've driven is all midsized or compact car's, except 1 midsize SUV. It's like I like looking like I'm driving a clown car at 6'5".

I had my engine seize & die in the far left lane of rush hour traffic, on my way to the second day at a new job when I was 18. I barely made it to the shoulder on far the right side of the road. The car just coasted, it was terrifying! I think the only reason people let me over was because they could see the billows of white smoke pouring out of my engine

Ya, smoke probably helps with empathy. As it was, I distinctly remember an asshole in a silver mustang honking at me as I tried to push and steer at the same time.

I'm not sure how I have managed not to run out of gas more often. It's a biweekly occurrence that I look down and start panicking and pray I make it to the gas station. And my gas gauge isn't broken lol.

Right last time I filled up I put 17.5 gallons....
Time before that I put in 17.8.... no idea why the wifey was worried....
She hates it if it's less then 1/4 tank

I’ve traveled with people who’ve done it just because it’s free and then they don’t have to carry their bag to the gate. I threatened to leave them at the airport.

Destination Weddings and work junkets are two more where I sometimes can’t fit all my crap in a carry-on. I have one of those bags that’s too big to be a carryon but not big enough to be a real bag. Just sayin!
