Day 9: A song with a choir
Who's the biggest nerd in Sweden, you ask? Why, that'd be Orvar Sรคfstrรถm, of course!

When I was a kid, still in Stockholm, we had a soccer field at our school. We'd spend our afternoons there, playing ball, chatting about everything and nothing. Those are the places where friends are made. It just so happened that this field was on the path home of Orvar, a decade-and-some our senior and a budding journalist at the time with his own show on Z-TV (the cool channel on TV) where he reviewed nerdy stuff. Comics, games, movies, that sort of stuff. We loved his show.

Every day we'd see him walk by. Every day we'd shout hello. "Tjena Orvar! / Tjena ungar!" He never ignored us kids, some times he stopped to play ball with us, some times he chatted with us about the stuff on his show. He always took the time for his tiny fans. He's just a really awesome dude.

Fast forward quite a bit, and he started making one of his dreams come true; he wanted to put on a symphonic live show featuring his favorite music from nerd culture. It took a metric fuckload of work and stringpulling, and some not insignificant personal cash investment, but he did it. And it was a huge success. SCORE/SAGAS was born, and it's been going strong for 10 years now.

Featuring soprano Sabina Zweiacker, the Royal Swedish Philharmonics and their choir, Orvar Sรคfstrรถm presents game music, fantasy music, nerd music. I've caught a few of these concerts, and they are always epic!

Unfortunately, licensing this music is a bit iffy, so not all shows have official recordings.
Thankfully, amateur footage is very high quality these days!

Day 9: A song with a choir
I am not going to make the same mistake I made last month.
There is a song by someone I posted that had a choir and I was torn apart all day because of my choice.
There were two other songs already chosen by the time I woke up. (Living Years and Like a Prayer) that were excellent choices.
And being a choir boy myself, I had to go back into my high school years to think of what we did.
But there was a video I saw on the Youtube of a humorous song that I had to share.
I hope you laugh because I saw this and it made me laugh hard the first time I saw it and brought back memories of the silly things we did during those years.

Lol. Youโ€™re missing a little context here. You were scolded because the prompt was for a duet and you posted a song with a choir asking if that counted, if I remember correctly.

Iโ€™m glad you got to relive some choir memories, now, at the appropriate time๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜‚

Edit- I might be thinking of the wrong person or instance
