To be fully transparent, I had watched 3 episodes and had given up on it.

Until my partner at the time got into it and was watching it. And that got me back into it. If it wasn't for her, I likely only would have watched 3 episodes.

Now, it's a comfort show for sure.

The TV series was made next door to the original Star Trek. Many of the guests on Star Trek were also guest stars in Mission Impossible. Same production company.
