That is interesting that the fall back affects you more than the spring forward. I think you are correct about the SAD being the key factor. You are photosensitive and need the daylight. I have a friend who moved from Canada to Arizona as it helped his wife who has SAD.You might be my evil town then.
Or Maybe I’m the evil one… just curious, why does the spring one mess with you? Are you an early riser?
For me, the fall one is tough. I have seasonal affective disorder, so when we’re thrust into the darkness, it really messes with me. Like, one day I’m driving home from work and it’s light out and the next it’s pitch black. And knowing that the sunlight gets even more scarce till winter solstice on Dec 21 doesn’t help.
I am nore affected by the spring forward as I feel the same as when I have jet lag. I am an early riser which may have something to do with it.
