Your simplistic view of ‘the rule of law’ as a cure for our national issues is not a satisfactory source of guidance. Our nation has experienced polarization, and people have lost trust in the legal system. The events that occurred on January 6th and Donald Trump's attempt to regain power clearly demonstrate this division.

We need to recognize and address the underlying social, economic, and political issues that contribute to social discord and unrest, rather than relying solely on the rule of law. We need to elect leaders who can ensure that our legal system treats all Americans fairly, justly, and with accountability, regardless of their race, gender, or socioeconomic status. The future of our democracy depends on it.

If that's what you believe then you're nothing more than an ignorant asshole. We are a nation of laws. I stand for those laws and made an entire career out of doing so.

I don't engage in destructive behavior and cannot advocate that anyone else do so. Why? Because it's against the law and I can be punished for it by both the courts and the State Bar Association.

We also already have laws against discrimination. More laws against discrimination, except discrimination against you if you're white, just like your fascist bullshit about needing more gun laws, won't change anything with those who already disobey the law.

So spare me your social justice bullshit. If you want change then you need to do more than riot in the dark while looting and burning the small businesses which support our society and which did NOTHING to harm anyone. Because hurting your neighbors doesn't bring them on board with your ideology.

In the end if you want change then YOU need to get off your ass and advocate that minorities receive the punishments for breaking the law equally as non minorities get. That means no more "get out of jail free" passes in the courts or on the street. YOU need to start telling people that if they do the crime, they're going to do the time. Period.

Anything else, like trying to use statistics to prove a nonexistent point, is just more of your ignorant assed bullshit.
 
I don’t blindly accept the status quo. That’s why I want to change the law to allow women everywhere in the US to choose whether to get an abortion.

Then run for office, get elected, sponsor a bill to amend the Constitution and get it ratified by the states. Anything else is you whinging and crying.

We can do what we normally do an ignore the fuck out of the Constitution. The Founders for one reason or another made the Constitution way to difficult to change.

The problem you have is that the Constitution says that States have Rights and SCOTUS says that there's no Federal Constitutional Right to abortion and that the individual States can regulate it. No Federal statute is going to get beyond that so you're going to need a Constitutional Amendment to get where you want to be.

  • No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
The question is, when does a fetus become a person? The Constitution leaves that up to the states.

HisArpy is correct on the state's rights bullshit. This is just one more reason why state's rights is absolute bullshit and I'm kinda curious how long it will take those red states to start arresting women who get abortions out of state and other interstate conflicts.
