The incident was a giant Israeli clusterfuck, start to finish. Israel told the UN it would handle relief supplies instead of them this past weekend. The UN had the process down to a science, rolling in with security, setting up queues, etc.

The Israelis just had random trucks coming in, honking horns. Refugees had NO idea what was going on, at first thought it was an attack or something, then when they realized there was FOOD they mobbed the trucks. The Israeli Genocide Force thought the refugees were "attacking" the Israeli trucks (*wink *nudge) and made matters worse by firing shots in the air.

That panicked the crowd even more (Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!) so the Israeli Genocide Force started "firing at their feet" (Not unlike the Buffalo NY police dept in 2019, many headwounds from "shots at the ground).

The usual Israeli Genocide Force massacre, excuse me, "chaotic incident" occurred.

No regard for civilians. Untermench.

Please at least attempt to provide sources. The thread is meant to provide information rather than your perspective on your own information.

Hmmm....it looks like yesterday's Israeli indiscriminate slaughter of Gazan refugees is FINALLY triggering some international pushback.

The military's excuse was "we were only firing weapons into the air or at their legs" as if that is some mitigating factor.

Some are saying this is similar to Israel's "Grapes of Wrath" slaughter of Lebanese years ago which essentially ended the Israeli-Lebanon war and brought down the Peres government.

Israel is no longer the "good guys" here.
How many "good guys"are there is a war Robbie? War is Hell. You can't start one and then expect it to stop when it goes sideways.

Reports are in that the U.S. is going to airdrop relief supplies into Gaza. I so hope they drop a lot of it and when the Israelis complain, they say, "Shut the fuck up."

I missed this important little nugget the first time....from Newsweek

"possibly a marine corridor". This is huge.
Israel has had a complete naval blockade of Gaza and prohibited any and all shipping into Gaza, using Israeli commandos to board ships it feels are in violation of their embargo.

President Biden is essentially saying "Come at me, bro...the United States will be landing relief ships in Gaza if airdrops are confiscated"

It's worth noting that Israel is currently the only country in the world that is undefeated in naval warfare against the United States, having successfully sunk the USS Liberty in 1967, killing 34 American sailors.

The deliveries will still need to be inspected, distributed in a secure manner, and concentrated into the hands of TRULY innocent civilians, or we will simply be facilitating / perpetuating the Hamas animal’s ability to hold out against Israeli efforts to supplant them as the controlling entity among Palestinians.

🤬

Or, are SOME people "OK” with the Hamas animals remaining in power in Gaza after their October 7th rape, torture, murder, and kidnapping operation???

🤔

I think we need to understand that Israel will not (and should not, imho) accept the continued existence of the Hamas animals as the ruling faction in Gaza.

I also think the Israeli people need to oust Netanyahu and the far right coalition from power at the first opportunity. They failed on sooooo many levels.

The Philistines whine, "IT's NOT ENOUGH". Screw those ungrateful animals, they deserve nothing.

My understanding is that three NGO relief ships stocked full of medical supplies were previously stopped and diverted to ports where Israelis "inspected" the cargo. I believe the pilferage rate was something like 40%? Not sure on that one.

Oxygen cylinders for use in hospitals were confiscated, seeing as there are no remaining hospitals in Gaza means these cylinders could be repurpose as weapons of war. I'm kidding, we all know they were sent to Israel as spoils of war. Ditto anesthesia supplies as well.

This is straight up evil.

It is demonstrably not enough for a population of 2.3 million where:

All agricultural land has ben destroyed.
All civilian restaurants, bakeries, and more, have been destroyed.
A quarter of natural wells have been destroyed.
Aid is now down to under 60 trucks a day, which is a minuscule amount.
Israel is actively blocking aid in and people getting in to help.
UNWRA being defunded with evidence has forced them to curtail operations.

People in Gaza are not whining, they are screaming. They are literally being obliterated.

By the way - recent reports on Al Jazeera and France 24 put significant doubt on the Israeli version of events with the aid trucks by way of the IDF’s own contradicting statement AND FOOTAGE they took at the scene.

The reason the world is starting to properly wake up to what is happening is because it is becoming clear we are days away from mass starvation, 10 children and two adults having died this week as a result of malnutrition.

The pro Israeli posters here, as ever, showing their lack of humanity.

Yep, it's definitely time for the United States to break drastically from Israel on this. A massive airdrop of relief aid directly into Gaza and a public "Get fucked" to Israel on this point is what's needed in the short term.

LATER: The airdrop started this morning, Saturday. Good.

Oh my, this story still "has legs" after four complete 24-hour news cycles. What CNN termed a "refugee camp 'chaotic incident' " now has it's own Wikipedia page cryptically entitled "Al Rashid Humanitarian Aid Incident" and there is some serious debate about renaming it to "Al Rashid Humanitarian Aid Massacre".

Over on X formerly know as Twitter, it has become increasingly common to refer to the event as the "Flour Massacre".

I keep trying to figure out the objectives that Israel is aiming for. Their bombings have led to hostages' deaths. Out of all the current effort, Hamas is mostly intact.

So the two objectives they've said they are wanting have actually not gotten any closer.

'Excess deaths' in Gaza for next 6 months projected in first-of-its-kind effort

Here are their projections

Even if ongoing ceasefire talks are successful, the humanitarian crisis could claim an additional 6,550 to 11,580 lives by August 6, on top of the 29,000 deaths documented by the Gaza Ministry of Health when the study was published last week. Now, the death toll exceeds 30,000.

If a ceasefire isn't reached and fighting continues apace over the same timeframe, the researchers project between 58,260 and 66,720 excess deaths — fatalities caused directly by Israel's military or indirectly by factors like disease and restricted access to medical care or sanitation.

It's a very Trumpian scenario. A leader doing everything he can to stay out of prison for crimes he actually committed. Very Trumpian.

Reichy believes that deterrence by force or by throwing your dick on the table in aeasuring contest is the only way to stop people from doing bad things.

One can only assume that he was beaten quite often in his youth and yet still won't stop being a dick.
No, the object is to kill bad people.

The American and allied bombings of Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Berlin, Ploesti, Hamburg (Operation Gomorrah), Cologne, Kassel, Darmstadt, Swinemünde, and Dresden, were all collective punishment bombings. Did your grandfather wet his pants over those?

War had been declared, Einstein. Industrial strategic targets are fair game in war. There was no heavy industry in Koln (Cologne), but that was the very first "terrorist" bombing of the 20th Century, planned and executed by the British RAF.

So to summarize: fuck your pathetic attempts at whattaboutism and deflection.
