For reading such happy stories, it always amazes me that I'm crying my eyes out two or three times when reading your work. It's a compliment, and a testament to the emotions evoked by your ability. You are a gifted writer Shelby, and your skill continues to improve with each tale. While I am inspired by your work, I'm still at the fledgling author stage I think. A excellent story like all your ather stories. I have red most off them 3 or more time's I love that your stories have happy endings. I must say for a 55 year old man that is bedridden because of cancer and a finger fult on Google search that brought me the first story from you I can't wait for you to post the next one. It's strange but also wonderful to be in the middle of writing brand new adventures and then receive comments on earlier work, contrasting the characters as at one point in time with their reunion in the present story.

Alena's Game Ch. 17 comment from @goodwab (who has been kind enough to leave a breadcrumb trail of comments through the entire corpus, it seems):

Yes, that was entirely the point of writing it in the first place.

@Devinter: what you noted was actually deliberate, on both counts (although I'm quite willing to admit that I might not have got the balance right).

First, the narrator is mostly vanishing into the background as the stories progress. The stories are about Sal, and Big Brother is essentially just an abstract meatbag. I mean, four stories in and he doesn't even have a name, let alone any personality.

Second, Sal is teasing her brother to bond with Aisha. If you look at the scenes where it's just her and the narrator, she's a lot nicer to him, I think. I also think it's a perfectly natural dynamic where people are trying to make a newcomer comfortable. It all builds up to the point where Sal makes her move on Aisha.

Thanks for pointing it out, though. Like I said, it's deliberate, but perhaps I took it too far.

Barely such a thing on Literotica. And I had no idea it was deliberate. Sal is a bit nicer to him when they're alone but even there it felt like you pushed it further than in previous chapters. It's your story, and your writing is spectacular, and people seem to like the direction things are going! I find you brave for writing in the incest category and moving towards such dangerous territory as pushing the sibling out a bit, rather than the other way around. Few authors would be able to pull that off without significant backlash - but you might be one of them, honestly!

The reason I spoke up is because I thought it was accidental. And because - as silly as it may sound - for me, the first three episodes were hot, and this one just had the opposite effect on me. But that's because I am not into the kinks you're moving towards, and in general don't like stories where two people are established as 'cute together' and then a third character comes along and a switch/break-up happens, and not for any other reason - so please don't second-guess yourself or anything!

Several things I really loved about this:

- for the fight at the beginning, even if it was just the intro, I enjoy that you made the monsters reasonably smart - plently of writers would not have bothered with that and just made up some mindless horde of giant lemmings, eager to be slain. I even got the sense that some of the beasts might have been SMARTER than Stavos.

- great entry for our eldritch abomination! With the eyes and facial features apearing, while showing off that her physical form is really, well, just for show, cynically playing with the desires of our rather simple minded virgin swordsman.

- Usually, BJ and graphic descriptions of them are a big turn-off for me, but you made that bit tons of fun, weaving in the "oh shit" factor with hints at what's really going on ("thousand tongues"). What makes the scene so good for me is that it is in a way a paridy of "the perfect blowjob" as an unexperienced young man might imagine it. She is playing with the myth of the bj, basically, and even this is really about her own playtime and pleasure.

- I also enjoyed how you played with her nature as a powerful non-human by showcasting her perfect indifference towards things a mortal might find so big and important. Great quest of revenge? She just teleports and immobilizes the target, no problem. Killing women and children, why not? Impersonating a long lost love, what fun cosplay! Basically, with her power and access to infinite universes, everything is interchangeable and expendable for her. The last bit with impersonating the blind sister is a nice touch as well. Even if she is genuinely benevolent towards him because he is her favorite toy (and playing the gentle second tradwife for 30 to 40 years is nothing to her lifespan), she still plays by her own rules and her perspective on things is very different from his.

The story Occulatation just has to be your 'magnum opus.' I think it was beautifully conceived and written. Thank you! On a more personal note, Occultation struck a chord with me, letting me feel happy that there are, of course, many overly cautious people in life. It took me forty seven years, two wives, and four other relationships to learn my lesson about not being afraid to speak up. The story captured that perfectly. And the way that the couple reconciled was exceptionally well done.

heh, thanks. I'm happy with who I am and where I am. But the one who got away was one of those Fae creatures who you glimpse maybe once and once only. She lives in Canada now and is living her best life, from what I've heard. My life would have been wildly different. But in some ways the bittersweetness of what-if is better than what likely would have been, given how unutterably immature I was when I knew her. And now she'll forever be the blue-eyed twenty-five year old I kissed; that's enough magic for me.

Looking back, this is probably true. I suppose I was focused too much on Sal's plan to seduce Aisha and forgot about the category. But it all leads up to the threesome in the end, so that's my defence.
