What trial? If the CO Supreme Court ruling is a de facto ruling then why did other courts in other states shoot the idea down. Why does it need an interpretation and ruling from SCOTUS. Those that were incarcerated for seditious behavior were tried and convicted in a court of law.

Some? There were six who launched the law suit in Colorado. Four are registered Republicans. If this was a poll it would be 67% of Colorado Republicans support removing Trump from the ballot. That's a pretty wide margin, and considering you run around the forum bragging that Trump leads Bidden by 47% to 45% in the polls, and acting like it's a majority of anything..

I agree with this. Despite all the polls--where those being polled seem willfully ignorant of what is actually happening in the economy and politically in the nation--screaming Trump is on top, I just don't see the national electorate voting him into office. It would have to be another manipulation of the electoral college. By rights--on the abortion issue alone--the Democrats should take both houses in the next election.

Keep in mind that in every special election and ballot initiative this year, the Dems have overperformed the polls. I'm cautiously optimistic we'll see that again next year.

Yes, they decided all of this without a formal indictment asserting he committed Insurrection, or a trial to permit him to put up a defense against a charge of insurrection, or a jury finding that he committed insurrection, or that he illegally attempted to overturn an election.

They didn't need to do any of that, and as someone else has already pointed out, it's not their responsibility. Whatever happened to the Republicans' love of states' rights anyway?
