I'm not a big crier, and I avoid sad music like the plague. But thus song makes me feel melancholy & nostalgic, because it makes me think of my dad, playing it in his shop, before he made life complicated.

The Highwayman-Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, and Waylon Jennings

Straight up one of my favorite songs. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I missed posting yesterday but I would’ve picked something from the Immaculate Collection because 80s Madonna😍
This song works for both days 3 and 4.

Gawd yes, every single track on this would be fantastic! None better than what you did choose! Brilliant.

My original CD version of the Immaculate Collection from high school barely plays any more, due to repeated partying and good times taking their toll... but I guess that I don't really need a "best of" Madonna anymore, now that 'adult' me has all of her albums... lol. Truly one of the best Greatest Hits collections! And a brilliant song choice!

Day 5: A song that isn’t in your usual genre

I've been kind of out of touch with everything that's been going on in hip-hop for about twenty years now probably, so I guess it's safe to say that it's out of my usual genre (lol)... but I still dig tons of hip-hop from the late 80's, when it was one classic album, after another, after another... even if I don't listen very often anymore. Here's a DJ/ MC combo that's still never been matched, to my knowledge. Eric B is fundamental to everything in their music, an understated genius, and the bedrock of it all. But the thing that first drew me in thirty-odd years ago is the same thing that exploded my mind tonight... the smoothness, intensity, and absolute precision of Rakim's lyrical flow. Wow! Poetry.

Day four, a song that inspired me. Dreamer- Ozzy Osbourne.

Great song choice! And a song that I haven't heard referenced as often as some other Ozzy songs.
The whole album that song is on is really good, and a bit overlooked. I saw him on the tour for that album, and it was a great show.
An excellent song!
