Actually everything I read said the recoil was reduced by the action for turning the cylinder and cocking the hammer. I would want it in .357 magnum.

When I finally scored a carbine, I found a cheap pisspot of ammo for it, too. Besides, it's not like it's a go-to, but it would have its uses. However, I also thing that an AR would perform all of those uses better and more economically.

Yeah, I have some 'collectibles' too that have been retired. Mostly old Colts. I have a Bi-centennial year Ruger #1 that seems to have become a collectors item as well. Damn shame about that, it's a good shooter.

We're not really there yet at our house. The WW2 stuff is still subject to be taken out and have a few rounds put through it sometimes.
