Another day, another idea.

As others have pointed out and I agree with…LOVE this idea.

When you take something old and add a new spin to it in a way others have not that’s always worth taking a stab at, and this long-drawn out romance will definitely be something that most readers on here get.

You should 100% do this…in my opinion…which you can take or leave.
I'm going in the direction of The Phoenix ... out of the ashes* of one relationship, comes another.

* from a fire set to burn someone else.

By the way, the story I have now is a Phoenix of its own; 1200 words arising from what had been 5500. In this new story, what name should I give the guy who wanted to BTB -- should I actually officially call him Torchy McJackwagon, or (as the draft stands at the moment) Dickheadus Maximums?

Love McJackwagon, not sure about Torchy.

Maybe Byrne.

Heyyy ... how about Jackwagon Byrne.

And you are definitely getting an acknowledgement.

Maybe a different day ... but it's a great idea for the future. Not only do I thank you, but don't let me forget to credit you properly when I do.
No credit is necessary and I may beat you to the story with my own characters and situations. But since I don't write cuck stories anymore, it might be Mary that does it. She's a little thief!

Thief, schmief ... if it's a cuck story, I'll let you take it legitimately, with my blessing. The keys are on the table in the front hallway.

That was two weeks ago ... what had once been 5500 words over four months is now 4200 in two weeks.

While I'm not crazy enough to jump into the LW snakepit, I was thinking to take a swipe at it in an upcoming story (which will either end up in Romance, or maybe Mature).

You're familiar, are you not, with the trope of a wronged husband going scorched earth on his wife, her lover, and lover's business concern? Well, this story idea has that as the crux, what sets things into motion; more specifically, the male lead's struggles when some quixotic jackass (not the lead) does as I have described, forcing the closure of the business at which the lead works. In his attempts to find different work, his marriage can't take the financial strain, and he sets about in the events that will become this story.

So ... what say you? You've been helpful in the past,, and I was wondering if I should go quite that route, or tone it down And chalk up the financial misfortune to something else.

As always, thanks so much.

If your intention is to take a swipe at the BTB crowd, then you will have to post it in LW...

Otherwise, what's the point?
If your aim is to make fun of, or troll that particular group, then you have to wave it in their face.
If you are worried about the score, or comments, you can disable them...

Subtle burns are lost on them, then? The kind where they don't realize they've been reamed until they take the time to think about it and to study?

Besides, this ends on an HEA, but that's not much of the point. It's someone else's affair that affects someone only peripherally involved.
