honestly, I don't think I go for crazy. But I do like playful. Someone who isn't afraid of showing how they feel. I'm a quite affectionate guy. And I really prefer if she is affectionate as well.

As for other men? IDK... maybe the same reason women go for crazy guys? I don't know the reason.

OK, to answer for myself...

My ex isn't THAT crazy compared to many Im sure, though I joke about it. We'd actually dated 3 times, and our relationship only became sexual when we were FWB for a time well after all 3 of those relationships. Why was I drawn in by her despite the warning signs? No gag reflex, enthusiastic lover, and massive drive to please.

She was one who I told a story about, my first time could have potentially been a threesome she propositioned me for. She was FWB with another dude at the time, and was pissed at him. She offered, knowing I was bigger from the little we'd done when dating, and wanting to make him jealous. I turned it down not knowing that, but as toxic as it would have been now sometimes kinda wish I'd taken her up on it.

Since then, she's been married and divorced 3 times in 16 years, so there's clearly some commitment issues or something going on there. She's a sweetheart, or at least she was with me, but I think she's still figuring stuff out.

My guess; because crazies wear their deviance on their sleeves and in the short term that can be really appealing. I’m guilty of falling for psychos because I knew what I was getting sexually up front and that was always exciting. There was no pussy footing around taboo things.

As I’ve gotten older I run at the first sign of a red flag. It’s not exciting anymore to see someone who is unstable as a potential partner for fun or otherwise.

Don’t get me wrong; I might still play DJ Tiddle Fingers to thoughts of them but that as as far as it goes nowadays

I believe it goes both ways to start with. We always hear about the other stereotype that good girls only are attracted to "bad boys". It's all relative really.

Most of the time, we have no idea what we are getting into until we are deep into the relationship. In real life, I have only dated three ladies. The first qualifies as "bat-shit crazy" although I was friends with her for almost a year before we started going out. Because of my age at the time, I know my motivation was to get through the virginal hurdle on my side. She dumped me on my birthday (ouch). The relationship only lasted three months.
The second was two months. She was more needy than the first one. I think sometimes, we put the title "bat-shit crazy" to cover the reasons why the relationship fails. She was needy because she was trapped down where I was stationed and I was about to be discharged when we started dating. When I left the Army, we tried to have a long-distance relationship before I received the Dear John letter on....you guessed it....my birthday.

The woman I am currently attached to isn't "Bat-shit crazy" although I wonder what she was thinking. We started as workmates, became friends a few months later, became closer a few months later and was married about four months after our first time being intimate with each other. The fact we're still together means we're both crazy.

I am not going to talk about my Lit-relationship experience except it is to say I have had my share of the crazy ones. I have been blind to some of the red flags. The environment of the internet and the ways to communicate does make things easier in some ways, but also makes it easier for people to try to destroy you just as much. That being said, I have made some wonderful friends on Lit. Some I consider real friends because we communicate offline as much as on here. I was telling one friend who recently moved to a warmer climate while she has been dating that sometimes, you need to sift through the not so good ones to find a good one.
