It's amazing how few people can even begin to understand the need to forget so much.
Memories can be your worst enemy, regardless of who, what or how long ago.
Senility may be your best friend when your memories are your worst enemy.
I can't help ya with the selective memory loss---but loss of memory in general I can show a way to start your research.
I fell out for a nap at lunch time at work. When I fell out I had a neodymium magnet about a inch in diameter setting on my third eye chakra on my forehead. I woke up without any knowledge of who I was, where I lived, how I got where I was or how to get home. I got out into the aisle way and started walking and some drunk guy stopped and asked if I was going to the office, I said yeah and asked him who he was. Fortunately for me he was a member of the same team as me and he was able to clue me into who I was and where I lived and everything I need to know before the end of the shift. It took me the next four hours to put all the pieces back into order.
Now--, yes mine episode was temporary but yours plan doesn't have to be temporay.
If you looking to disappear, go get you a bus ticket to some place you have never been and don't know anyone. Get you a neodymium magnet and a half a pint of liquor. Drink it all down and before you pass out place the magnet on your forehead secure it with a bandanna and go to sleep.
This is pretty heavy. Are you completely serious? Just saying, I've never heard
anything like this before about magnets. Also, I've heard of third-eye chakras, but I can't confirm that they really exist.
If you live long enough this won't be an issue. I'm not referring to dementia related issues. A bf died in my bathroom when I was 25 from heroin od. I had zero idea he was on drugs. A brother killed himself at 31 by hoarding his AD'S. My first child was a still birth, followed by 3 miscarriages.Debated quite a while about posting this because of some of the stupid useless answers I've seen.
Need real replies, not irrelevant crap.
How do you forget? People, places, events, conversations, etc. There are things I want wiped permanently, never to be recalled again.
Selective amnesia if you will.
I'm not a fan of hypnosis, but if it would work .....
Alzheimers, yeah there you go...pass me the aluminum shavings please.Age. In time, you'll forget all.
Likely, you gave forgotten much of why you started this thread in the intervening years since.
Alzheimer's, if you're in a hurry.
indeed "That is life", yet that was a rough dealLife is hard.
Fuck, talk about bad memories .... shheeee -it .....This is where therapy comes into play.
I have heard it said that moments and memories you want to “forget” can only happen if they’re replaced. Obviously, you will never truly be able to forget. They will be subconsciously there whether you realize it or not. But they can be “quieted,” for lack of a better word.Debated quite a while about posting this because of some of the stupid useless answers I've seen.

Simple answer? You can't. The more you try to forget something the more it will nag at you.How do you forget? People, places, events, conversations, etc. There are things I want wiped permanently, never to be recalled again.
I'm amazed that he could still wank off after drinking that much whiskey. Usually alcohol has a deadening effect on the male libido.I’ve a pal who was jilted at his wedding reception. His brother fucked off with his bride. He found the best way to for get was found in two litres of ‘Bell’s‘ whisky followed by the perusal of a wank mag, his favourite was ‘Bladders and Big Boobs’. This therapy took his mind off everything. The chronic wanking was a part of his forgetting.
