I am fascinated by this. I know I've been gone for a while, so our experiences are likely to be rather different. Plus, I'm pretty sure our differences in gender mean we view things differently, but generally my experience was kind of the opposite: I have felt like there were many men and few women. I admit to never really doing a count. And it seems the women tend to get "committed" quickly.

That all said, I think what this really highlights is that even at a place like Lit, it can be hard (snicker, I'm 12, yes) to make a connection. People are, generally, somewhat picky. Although as noted above, many "new comers" (snicker) are often less picky, until they've gotten over the first few times. (and I fear that some people pray on that...).

I think you're pretty on point.

I think most people who (for me) are worth trying to connect with are relatively picky. I'm generally looking for more than just a one-time talk dirty chat, which I think kind of shapes that.
