I have a question for the ladies of lit: is post-orgasm regret (or guilt) a thing for women? If so, is it immediate, or is it something that sets in the morning after, when arousal has passed?
As a man there have been times where, after an orgasm, I immediately feel bad about what just happened, or at the very least lose ALL interest in sex for a time, lose any desire to keep kissing, etc. I know that some (many/most?) women can have multiple orgasms, or at least don't have a refractory period like men do, so does that prevent this phenomenon from occurring in women?
I am working on several stories that center around married women who have sex with people who are, for various reasons, bad choices (hubby's dad, for example). Would a women who did such a thing regret it immediately while possibly still aroused, the next day when no longer aroused, or potentially not at all (or, as with many men, no longer regret it once aroused again)?
Any input/feedback to these questions is much appreciated!
