Whether you like it or not, gun control as has been practiced in the US is dead. Recent Supreme Court rulings have rendered it so.

Facts;

There will be no more bans on "assault weapons", magazine capacities, or other such nonsense. Further, the BATFE will no longer be able to redefine what constitutes a "weapon" to suit whatever administration policy in office at the time to suit such administration's policy.

Remedies;

Zero tolerance for gun crimes, none regardless of age. Harsh and unrelenting. Drive that notion home. A close eye on mental health conditions particularly in high schools and this will require removing the record barrier between juvenile and adult behaviors in certain areas.

Funny how many similar threads have been made through the years.

Gun control response threads by conservatives on Lit are dead.

The Supreme Court just made some major strides for the rights of Gun Owner's that was long overdue and needed.

There is no reason why as a farmer and law-abiding citizen, I should be denied the right to use guns of my discretion to protect my livestock and farm. I should not have to worry that the rifle I build to take out a running coyote today, will make me a felon tomorrow because the ATF suddenly deems my trigger as illegal with my legislatures having no say in the matter.

We still have some work to do however. We really need nationwide gun rights so like this week, when I go on an across-the-country road trip with my family, I can conceal-carry for their protection in in states that have restrictive gun laws.

Nothing says Summer Vacation like a conceal-carry roadtrip with enough firepower to make it through the danger zones alive.

You poor soul. It must be exhausting living in fear like you do. May Gawd protect you and your family during your pilgrimage across the treacherous plains of the US of A. May you never need your high-caliber weapon to defend your family from ruthless coyotes and cow thieves.

Thoughts & prayers!

Not fearful, just would like to be prepared.

I have had to defend my family once with a gun, so I know all about the importance of keeping tools close by.

Gun control dead?

I'm sure you'll send it your thoughts and prayers.

I own guns. Many guns and have since the mid-70s. I still have yet to record my first kill, but where I would start would be with face-tattoos. Nothing screams crazy louder than that.

Nothing says well-adjusted American senior citizen like fantasizing about killing people with face tattoos.

B-b-b-but what about "civil rights" the loophole that all of these shooters manage to traipse through?

The Left is more terrified of being hoisted upon the petard of crazy due to all the aberrant behaviors
than they could ever be of a gun. After all, nobody they know owns one (or would admit to it).

Jesus, Ish

after forcing women to breed

now you want to open a surveillance system in schools?

As long as the second amendment is not absolute as SCOTUS has ruled, gun control is not dead.

The 2nd amendment has been totally misinterpreted. The founding fathers would shudder to see the gun culture in the US today.

The founding fathers would be more appalled by poor parenting skills and the break down of the nuclear family

These are the guys who took up arms, so I suspect they would be okay with our gun culture, tyranny can spring up at any time and guns somewhat mitigate that tendency, we have two centuries of proof.
