Chaos... to be continued

This may seem like a really stupid question, but is there any way I can make phone calls online through my iPad? I only have one phone, and I have a lot of important calls to get through today.

I am not familiar with the i-family, but wouldn't you need a sim-card with a phone number in the pad to do that?

Probably. I’m asking as a long shot! I can’t tie up my phone in case the doctor calls back, but I need to call the union and legal office again today. They close in four hours, my doctor closes in five and a half 😟

I know there is a way to do it as long as you are iPhone and iPad. I don't 100% remember how to do it, however.

Strix is right, you’d need a SIM card with a different number. The only thing I can think is if you set up a Skype or Google number, but I have no idea if those would tie up your regular phone number too, I’m not sure how they work. Any of the IT people here have an answer?

I misunderstood the question. You'd need a different phone number, which you can sign up for through Google Voice or something like that (at least you can in the US).

I think it would be easier to use that Skype / Google number for calling out, and leave the regular for the incoming ones.

I don't live in the Apple ecosystem, but I suspect everything said about needing the SIM card would apply.

The Skype / Google option may be worth trying. I know some people whom swear by the Google number option.
I use Google Voice for a secondary number and it's been generally solid, so there's that.
