Also called deer flys. They aren't supposed to feed on people, they can only reproduce on the body of deers, elks etc. But they make mistakes and feed on humans as well.

For some reason in Finland this has become an irritating problem, whereas the deer flys in Sweden have learned to avoid humans.

The ones we have here are often found around pools and bodies of water. The bring a knife and fork and have a meal.
