President Joe Biden left for vacation earlier this week as the U.S. recorded the highest daily number of new coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic.

He concluded that there was “no federal solution” to the problem, and various spin doctors in the media urged Americans not to blame the president. But last year, on the campaign trail and as President-elect, Biden promised specifically and repeatedly that he would make sure the virus was under control.

Here are 11 examples:

Seems like The Plan was just plagiarism of Trump's plan, a Joey Meltbrain specialty.

"Joe Biden promised to do something about the pandemic, but people like me refused to get vaxxed or wear masks and also obstructed his efforts in every way we could, so it's continued to get worse and somehow that's all his fault." God, I hope the Republic Party decides to run with that one!

Slow Joe promised a shutdown before there ever was a vaccine. So what was the plan then?

I have no idea where you pulled that from, but whatever the plan was, I'm confident that it was perfectly clear in what Biden really said (which most likely bore only the slightest resemblance to what you think he said).

Eleven times Biden called Americans to do the common sense thing and their civic duty, having faith in the goodness of his fellow American citizen. And twelve times, a third of the population refused to do their part, but, like the OP, tried to stick Biden with their failure to do their part. That's how rotten a third of the American population, including the board Trumpettes, are.

.
I dunno....

It seems pushing vaccines ( including boosters ) has had a pretty significant positive effect on reducing hospitalizations and deaths where people have followed CDC guidelines.

I actually think prioritizing the vaccines / masks / social distancing rather than the testing will prove to be the right strategy in hindsight.

After the one term loser former "president" failed to prepare for and respond aggressively to the predicted pandemic: lying about the threat and spreading misinformation about effective treatments / health and safety protocols; President Biden had no choice but to concentrate on saving those who were willing to be saved with a massive vaccination campaign.

At this point, with massive community spread, testing is important, but secondary.

A fire spotter is pretty useless when the fire is everywhere.

What's this weeks science say? I'm hoping to follow it. Admittedly, it's a moving target.

But it is under control!

Look how free AOC felt in DeSantos' Florida.

If our leaders and the hoidy toidy that run society aren't worried about it
(except for the wait staff) then it's under control and crises over, it's just
that you cannot have your Liberty back, it will have to be pried from the
cold dead hands of the Democrats. They love providing security,
spending, taxes and inflation. It keeps us in our proper place.

The White House and Fauci are sending mixed messages.

I can see why the White House is confused and
I can see why Fauci has to be deposed...

Fauci... he hasn't treated a patient in 40 years.

So is it 10 days or 5 days to isolate?

Do we wear a KN95, a K95 or a bandana?

Should we be 6 feet or 3 feet away?

If the rapid test can't detect the Omicron, should I take one any way?

When can I get my 4th dose?

Sciencing is hard.

If you can't follow the recommendations for your particular circumstamces then you're a very stupid person.

It really isn't that hard.

JFC

SAD!!!

Yeah, conflicting answers, ever-shifting regulations/precautions
mandatory lockdown, except in Florida where it's working,
but thank Allah that we have YOUR genius to set us straight.

We're so stupid! We cannot understands simple government doublespeak and official CYA...

Seems that masks don't stop Omicron, but it's mild,
BUT WAIT!!! You cannot call it mild! You have to wait TWO MORE WEEKS for the wave of death...

;) ;)

NO MORE SCHOOL!

Covid has little effect on children; they must be super-spreaders.

When it comes to being able to digest and understand STEM subjects
we are seriously retarding them and you know who bears the brunt
of that calamity –– MINORITIES! White kids will get good schooling.

This be true. Especially as more and more are moving to private schools, home schooling, or neighborhoods forming CO-OP schools. They're leaving the system and many just aren't going to be coming back.

And the urban schools will scream bloody murder
and come up with complex schemes to tax the
suburbs and flood them with Section-8...
They might make private schools
and homeschooling virtually
impossible via regulation.

It's Californication.

It's Californication.

They tried that here a couple of years ago. The tax increase had to go to a public vote and it went down in flames, 64% against giving them any more money.

Now congress could vote to increase the per child daily allowance the feds pony up but if they don't get it done this year it's probably not going to happen.
