Are you now shunning the selfishly unboosted?

Yeah, it's no longer a debate about health or policies, it's about philosophies or ideologies.
And all these debates where nobody listens to others just to themselves ....

But in all fairness to the anti-vaxers, our team isn't 100% either.
With the South African study on omicron, they didn't even read it properly,
they just jumped into lazy attacks of the study.

A few days ago, someone asked me how their refusal to get vaccinated affected me in anyway. I suppose they were expecting some altruistic sermon about it being good for all mankind, or some shit like that.

I said, "Where did you get the idea that I care whether you get vaccinated or Covid19?"

My only concession to the unvaccinated is to watch for pedestrians about to step off the curb and that's really more a worry damage about to my car.

They're saying the J&J booster isn't worth a fuck but run out and get it anyway because that's what they told you to do. :)

Does anybody have any links to how this "my freedom/rights no social distancing no vaccines" movement began (in the US, before it spread to copycats)?

It definitely came from the American Right, definitely designed to sway votes in their favor,
but who or what group of people started disseminating it on social and mass media?

Because I tried different key words and can't find it.
Just links or names please, something concrete.

No, that is just a political narrative (as you alluded to in your previous post).

A lot of the anti-vaxx sentiment comes from the very minorities that flock to
the Democrat (the Left's) banner and that is because of the historical precedent
of the government using them as Guinea Pigs for experimentation not to mention
the historical systemic Racism, oppression and victimization. Personal example,
why would any Native American trust the Federal Government after event such
as the Trail of Tears or African Americans after the experiments on them? Asian-
American have been rounded up and put into camps and even Hispanics have
been relegated to second-class citizenship. It's just the our Left is a grievance
industry and as such, they need a target, so even when they're actually the
guilty party, they point at the right and make sure they're the loudest, angriest
and most strident voices in the discussion.

But do not be deceived, you're going to find as many, if not more of the Left's
precious voting base that is more ignorant of medicine and Science then the
people on the right whom they refer to as Rednecks, white trash, deniers and
all sorts of pejoratives in order to give themselves a false sense of superiority
and false "expertise" in the most fallacious sense of the phrase..

Dafuq do you think social distancing means.

So the problem is that addicts are better at social distancing than the rest of us?

How many feet of "social distance" do you estimate to be "safe" from an airborne particulate?

(This is an open book test, feel free to look up the answer in the Wired article I cited.)

You debased yourself from the jump, Dr. Coronager. Just keep driving randos around in your germ-infested shitbox and make sure they don't mask up.

You know I'm right and you're just making yourself look even more ridiculous.

There are some cases of the vaxed dying in single vehicle car crashes, possibly due to loss of consciousness, strokes, or heart attacks. Driving became more hazardous. You can call that BS, blame it on drugs, etc.

Don't worry about Dumbfucker. He runs around insulting people and then professing his supposed intelligence. You know he's backed into a corner when he tries to demean whatever employment you do. He's been trying to convince everyone that he's well off. No one buys it.

You seem upset.

Once vaccines became available to anyone who wanted one, and it became clear only the stupid were now unvaccinated, I lost interest in talking about vaccines.

It's not much different than trying to convince someone they should wear a seatbelt, or look both ways before crossing a busy street. If they have a philosophical objection to either thing, what fact or logic could change their mind?

Most diseases discriminate based on economic status. People with more resources have less medical problems, over all. In this instance, we have a disease that discriminates based on political status. The mortality statistics have shown a consistent trend since the vaccines became available. People in neocon voting districts are contracting Covid19 and dying at a higher rate than in other districts. Maybe it's a coincidence that conservatism and antivaxxers are concentrated in the same groups, but stupid is, as stupid does.

The pandemic has become a self cleaning oven. It will eventually burn away most of those who don't do the smart thing, leaving the smart people to sweep out the ashes.

Well said.

Note to Laurel: This place could really use a "thumbs up" emoticon.

If you don't want to get vaccinated because you think it will cause you to pass out behind the wheel and crash, or have a heart attack or a stroke, that's your call.

If you believe any of that, I have no desire to change your mind.

"You know I'm right" is kinda like rhetorical argument except for the part where you don't tender and argument and simply declare victory.

Is Cubantripod Q?
:confused::confused:

That seems to be the feeling via the anonymous pm's, however I'm not convinced.

Why would you, I or anyone really care?

I just stick with the discussion with the exception of the obvious haters...

I booked mine in, but couldn't get an appointment before mid January. My son has moved out of the area, and already managed to get his, despite youth and good health. Gotta love rural life

I managed to make a new appointment for tomorrow morning. Triple jabbed in time for Xmas!
