The vaccines we have do not prevent anyone from becoming infected with the virus. What your body does when that virus is in you depends on the person. If it helps you beat it quicker there is a marginal chance that a potential mutation dies before it spreads as far, but every day you are infected you shed virus. The virus doesn't know know or care anything about vaccines. All the virus is doing is replicating itself and mutating along the way. The better mutation survive the Lesser fail. Because the vaccines are specifically targeting the OG version of the virus it is already pre selecting for the mutations. That provides a much better sampling of mutations surviving than would otherwise have with no vaccine.

The vaccines do not prevent infection and they do not prevent the spread of the virus. They absolutely do not prevent the virus from mutating and likely encourage mutations.

The vaccine resistance is not a right-wing phenomenon other than the general truism that lefties are more apt to love being told what to do. Presumedly, Biden has "had he brains or the balls to face down the nation and tell them what needed to be done to control the pandemic. How is that working out? The WHO which was all sciency to you all has the brains and the balls to stand up to Biden and explain that you can't boost your way out of a global pandemic.

Finally, Fauci is acknowledging hat there is a big difference between "with" and "due to" Covid-19. The Wahington Post just pointed out that data collection is completely inadequate.

Current epicenters are all in big blue northern cities. You wouldn't know that if the only thing you've read about covid as of late are sources that don't choose to bother to cast blame at Democratic Governors when for purely seasonal reasons there's a spike.

DeSantis was "fact-checked" about his assertion that the unboosted would soon be considered to be not "fully vaxxed." The "fact check" was wrong as his prediction is now official guidance of the CDC.
