Omicron.

If it wasn't for that person I won't mention, we wouldn't have a Conservative government. He wrecked the Labour party's chances of winning an election.

depends which labour party you mean comrade, the one thatcher created for her illegitimate heir 'bliar' or the one the working cless fought to establish.

if you see sid tell him, should be the slogan for decades of austerity, buy a ford mondeo , get a free council house FUCK everyone else.

'true' labour will never be elected again.
Starmer is a complete twat, i only pay my membership to the party to irritate the fucker.

I let my membership lapse after the last leadership election.

I have to echo that.

There are a few old people who wear them
and a lot of box store and franchise employees
still have to don them daily, but the average
person is living life normally and there is
little, or no, evidence of a resurgence.

Maybe it's that herd immunity thing because
our vaccination rates are below the average.

It's politically obligatory considering that
panic sells advertisement for the media.

If you do not put on a panic Kabuki, then you
will be pilloried if not tarred and feathered;
run out of town on a rail; hung in effigy...

Look at fishmeal smelling his own farts thinking he's the shit. Lmao

Of course his token prairie nigger is in here trying to get a whiff while thinking he's clever.

Talk about a moronic duo. :)

One of the lessons of the last few years is most people with authority really don't know shit about anything that matters. They can bullshit well enough to get paid and not much else.

They pick the experts that reflect their political beliefs.

I see Fauci finally got the hint.

I wish him a short

retirement...

and

a grand funeral.

Ogg isn't bothered. If it happened, it shouldn't have. But, despite the then rules, Christmas parties happened everywhere including at trade union HQs.

It is a non-issue. Starmer should be attacking the government for far more important issues. Banging on about last year's Christmas party just makes him look irrelevant.

No one rounds you up and makes you go to a party...

In some offices, attendance could be compulsory... It was in the 1970s when I worked in London. If you were in the office on the day of the party, you had to make an appearance. You could take leave to avoid it.

It led to some embarrassing incidents:

The local boss was a Methodist teetotaler. His secretary belonged to an evangelical church that disapproved of alcohol. She was serving the gin and tonics and had no idea so her G+Ts were two-thirds gin and one-third tonic in a pint glass.

The number two was the Chief Chemist and amateur brewer. He provided fifty gallons of strong Porter for a party of eighteen people - of unknown alcohol content but very high for beer.

One of the board members of the large company dropped in. He was given one of the secretary's G+Ts and two pints of porter. He had to be poured into a taxi and never made the party on the next floor.

Okay. If it were 1972, I would give you that one,
but, it's a Brave New World in 2021...

My take away from all that is that basically NO ONE is following the mandates. Oh, they're paying lip service, but little else. When the authorities try to come down with a heavy hand you see the results in what's happening down in Oz. They're on the edge of a full blown rebellion down there.

In the UK, the vast majority of people wear masks where the law says they must, and millions are coming forward for their booster jabs, but the 'advice' to limit socialising at Christmas? Fuck off!

Still under a mask mandate. Haven’t been without a mask since early March of 2000. Also looks like we will be headed for another lockdown, although this will probably be directed towards the unvaccinated.
