Today is the anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, that led to the loss of many American lives on Hawaii, and many more in the Pacific War that followed.

The fighting during the Pacific War was as brutal as anything during WW1 and comparable to the Russian losses on the Eastern Front.

But the US and its allies succeeded, with the atomic bombs (and Russian attacks) forcing Japan to an unconditional surrender.

We should never forget and pay tribute to all those who fought, died or survived.

With respect to the war in the Pacific, thank the gods and David Bushnell for the submarine.

cant argue with or against that.

once had an interesting chat in a BMW dealership about the insensitive poster of a BMW parked in a field of Poppies.

Mind though, who will be watching TV documentaries about Pearl Harbour on a JAp made tv, or driving a Jap car?

Even if some can forgive the Jap bastards, no one should ever forget their brutality.

Mom was busy today or I would have heard her anti-Jap diatribe. She still hates them.

They scared a little girl . . . .

Amen friend, Pearl Harbor was my parent's 9/11 (here in the U.S.).

Thank you Ogg. Hope you are doing well.

If Pearl Harbor happened today...sadly many would probably post on here that it was either a) Actually orchestrated by Biden (who, like FDR, was not a Republican conservative) or b) Fake news; it didn't happen. Then they'd probably blame the attack on "liberals" and refuse to register for the draft because you know, "It infringes on my freedoms."

They would also, of course, celebrate the subsequent internment of American citizens of Japanese descent with cheers and applause. (Because, you know, they are all about "Protecting my freedoms" and who cares if the freedom of others is taken away?)

And pax would go off the reservation.

Looking for alts, looking for blame for any where else for where it belongs.

And would look for a deferment.

Bone spurs pax. Or whatever Bill used.

You have almost 12000 posts this year... since fucking June!!!

Good fuck man, you really need a different hobby. Maybe you should try to make love to your wife. Or husband. Or do a deep reading of Dr. Kervokian. Might help you. Whatever path you choose, go fuck yourself.

These performance alts are definitely dedicated.

and just like that...the anniversary is over.

now certain select White Westerners can put their performative annual grudge to excuse their cheap, dated racism back on the shelf and get back to indulging in eating fast-casual sushi, guessing the names of classic Kurosawa movies to trivia questions on Jeopardy and jacking off to online Japanese porn featuring 30-something women wearing schoolgirl uniforms.

funny how convenient the world is like that, huh?

It just takes one asshole to turn a thread to shit with his hateful politics...

:(

Jesus you are one thick idiot.

Look at the goddamned title of the thread...

FFS

And racist epithets against Japanese people have what place in this thread's subject?

oh, you weren't gonna go there, though.

FFS X 2

White westerners have allowed you to post out of your ass and pretend to be the victim.

If it came down to the wire, you would tuck and run. The real men would cover your ass and you can post your dumbass shit for posterity. Funny thing is, our posterity will separate and expose the cowards. Post away. The heroes will still stand up for you, no matter how you think, no matter your thoughts. Grab your tiny nuts, hold them tight, then post your drivel. We'll laugh and you can take comfort in your freedom. White, black, brown or in between. You have the freedom to be a fuckwad on a porn board.

But man, those nyc food threads are awesome. Lawlz.
