Withdrawal from Afghanistan "panic" is a Nothingburger

there's this: milley says he didn't see any information suggesting the swift collapse, and the intelligence officer who's said to have supplied the warnings even stated it was a whole lot faster than anticipated:

Exactly this ^.

I would also like to respond to your consideration of the suggestion that the Afghan soldiers saved some women and girl's lives by abandoning the fight. While I doubt that was their primary motivation, the unintended results could very well validate the notion that ceasing military operations may have temporarily saved some women and girl's lives. However, the question remains whether being a woman or girl living under Taliban rule is a fate worse than death.

At some point, if the women in some cultures want their human rights, it appears they are going to have to lead the fight for them like women in the U.K. and the USA did.

I was only half joking when I suggested in another post that we should have paid, trained, and equipped the Afghan women to fight the Taliban. I honestly don't believe ANY Afghan men really want the women to have equal rights.

Hell, there are still men in the U.K. and the USA who obviously still believe women are second class citizens, and that they should remain so.

SAD!!!

You just can’t get by *ORANGE MAN BAD*

So if a person runs a search on your username for the term "Obama", over 8 pages are returned - 200 responses. That's the max displayed - not the number of mentions total.

Obama has been out of office for four years and you loser idiots are still obsessed with him.

Again, sellout hypocrite says what.

There are existing doubts on the election, hence all of the audits, hearings, changes in state laws and election procedure to address them all. The fact that you don't want integrity in the voting process, or are blind and uninformed of existing voting corruption, is no justification for casting Aspersions on the veracity of what we've stated and understand to exist.
The audits proved there was no corruption. Is it an effort to be so obtuse or do you just have that trait naturally?

The US military knows how to make an orderly retreat. This wasn't it. This was a frenzied bug-out forced by a senile, incompetent goon's arbitrary deadline.

Fortunately, that senile, incompetent goon was voted out of office last November. This is just the Dems cleaning up the Republicans' messes as usual.

Trump's plan was an event-based withdrawal, not time-based.

May 1, 2020...not time based...wow.

The undying love, support and loyalty for Biden's withdrawal plan
is just simply giving me leg tingles. President Obama
really taught him how to crease his pants.

AND, no matter how dire the circumstance, no matter how bleak the outcome,
all a Democrat President has to do is declare victory and viola!
His legacy is snatched for the jaws of reality...

I had a brother at Kabul
Fighting off the Taliban
They're still there
he's all gone...

Lindsey Graham: Leaving American citizens in Afghanistan would be an impeachable offense.

It's August 20th. End of the summer is comin' up purdy quick-like.

wasn't there supposed to be some sorta closure and comeuppance or grand denouement by now?

It was reported yesterday the alleged August Report in AZ is being readied for release.

Fascist traitors need evidence. It isn't easy producing fake evidence that will stand up in court. Ask Mike as he pays out 1.3 billion.

Just for your edification. Fox News just reported they have an official cable, that was leaked to them, to the President and SecState from American government officials in Kabul weeks ago, that a rapid collapse was imminent. that means Biden and Blinken are liars.

He didn't declare victory.

I do know of another President who might have done so....wonder how that turned out.

Lindsey Graham: Leaving American citizens in Afghanistan would be an impeachable offense.

Why would anyone quote Lindsey Graham for anything? He probably flip flopped mid sentence and then back again before his statement was over

Best win the House first before talking impeachment Fascist traitors. Or do you plan on impeaching without authority?

State Department tried to tell Americans they would have to shell out $2000 to get on a plane. Needless to say they've adjusted that to zero after being exposed in the media. Biden's people are the most incompetent to ever serve in the government. At the very bottom of all of this is Biden's inner life long contempt for the military, every bad decision regarding Afghanistan stems from that.

During his interview the other night with George Stephanopoulos the President outright lied about the military service of his son, Beau. ABC edited it out of the aired interview, so American wouldn't see how absolutely mentally crippled and dishonest their President is:

STEPHANOPOULOS: I-- I think a lot of-- a lot of Americans, and a l-- even a lot of veterans who served in Afghanistan agree with you on the big, strategic picture. They believe we had to get out. But I wonder how you respond to an Army Special Forces officer, Javier McKay (PH). He did seven tours. He was shot twice. He agrees with you. He says, "We have to cut our losses in Afghanistan." But he adds, "I just wish we could've left with honor."

BIDEN: Look, that's like askin' my deceased son Beau, who spent six months in Kosovo and a year in Iraq as a Navy captain and then major-- I mean, as an Army major. And, you know, I'm sure h-- he had regrets comin' out of Afganista-- I mean, out of Iraq.

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/ful...opoulos-interview-president/story?id=79535643

Biden's son Beau was a Captain in the Army, not a much higher ranked Captain in the Navy, or a higher ranked Major in the Army. The President is dangerously clueless, disoriented, and incapable of doing the job of President. He's going to get Americans killed in large numbers.

Show me some untrue propaganda I have spread.

There's no end to Obama's Opulence

US to spend $200 mn a day on Obama's Mumbai visit

Mumbai: The US would be spending a whopping $200 million (Rs. 900 crore approx) per day on President Barack Obama's visit to the city.

"The huge amount of around $200 million would be spent on security, stay and other aspects of the Presidential visit," a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit said.

About 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists would accompany the President. Several officials from the White House and US security agencies are already here for the past one week with helicopters, a ship and high-end security instruments.

"Except for personnel providing immediate security to the President, the US officials may not be allowed to carry weapons. The state police is competent to take care of the security measures and they would be piloting the Presidential convoy," the official said on condition of anonymity.

Navy and Air Force has been asked by the state government to intensify patrolling along the Mumbai coastline and its airspace during Obama's stay. The city's airspace will be closed half-an-hour before the President's arrival for all aircraft barring those carrying the US delegation.

The personnel from SRPF, Force One, besides the NSG contingent stationed here would be roped in for the President's security, the official said.

The area from Hotel Taj, where Obama and his wife Michelle would stay, to Shikra helipad in Colaba would be cordoned off completely during the movement of the President.

You're the second Trumpy to mention the $2k and also the second Trumpy to fail to provide a source for others to read.

The interview doesnt mention it

Well...new talking points were given to them

Then who gets hung for the other 2500 who died?

They did a job. They prevented Afghanistan from being used as a terror base to attack American for 20 years. Our only mistake was nation building in a culture that didn't understand it, or want it. We still have troops in Japan, Germany, and in Korea, for similar purposes of keeping the peace.

The people who absolutely knew that the Afghan military would fold like a cheap suit are Afghanistan citizens. If they fear for their lives, they should have left when the last guy started making noise about withdrawing troops.

If I was there, I would have been gone long ago.
