I did a little reading on the whole "guys swim naked" bombshell. Turns out it was a hygiene issue (which was also associated with *good* morals) that started in the 20s. Filters were primitive and chlorination techniques had not been perfected. Naked was seen as a good way to keep down bacteria and lessen clogging issues.

This prevailed until the 1970s in some places!

(I stand by none of this, btw. Busy day. Only glanced at one or two articles. )

I was just reading about this too. Conveniently the girls were permitted to wear swimsuits of basic quality without colors that would get into the pool.

Although, if the guys knew the girls were swimming naked nobody would ever be in class they would all be trying to sneak a peek.

I always thought it was stupid to have special clothes to swim in. I would be totally embarrassed if I had to swim nude as a rule, but logically it only makes sense.

All swimming should be in the nude if we wanted to be logical, but can you imagine going to a public pool (I can’t imagine doing that now) or a beach, lake, river and everyone there is naked? I can’t.

The funny thing now is that (I believe) guys don’t even wear Speedos on swim teams. Don’t they wear those super tight board shorts? I don’t know what they’re called, but does it makes sense to wear more fabric while trying to swim faster?

How much could body hair really slow you down?
Is shaving your body the equivalent to wrestlers constantly spitting on the day of weigh in?
What if nudity on the swim team, public swimming areas or even the Olympics was optional? Would that bother you or would you join in? (not the Olympics part)

I know nothing of swim teams. My school (thankfully) couldn’t afford a pool. Sometimes the parking lot would flood though.

This is a very timely post.

Lately I am preferring a dildo to a vibrator because it’s quieter so I can use it whenever and no one will question it.

I only have one. It’s pretty. I like the colors. It could be a tad thicker and firmer, but so far it’s getting the job done.

No swimming at all for me—at least not at school. Although my school was so old and crappy they probably would have had that rule in place decades after everyone else had abandoned it. So maybe it was for the best.
