My multi-volume story has been stolen and is posted for sale on Amazon.

My very long work, The Humper Game, has been pirated and is for sale on amazon.com. My story is in seven parts (each with many chapters). It appears that someone calling him/her/itself "Nadia Laura" has assembled the chapters for parts 1-5 into kindle ebooks and is selling them on Amazon.

Parts 1-3 do carry the label "The Humper Game". I only just spotted part 4 ("Getting Settled") and part 5 ("Some Big Changes"). Since I'm NOT going to pay the thief to download my own work, I can't say for sure whether (say) part 6 is also included in "Some Big Changes."

I've tried Amazon's procedure for reporting copyright infringement. They have replied that they can't compare works and given me more hoops to jump through, with little or no information on what might actually convince them. I'm at the point of tearing my hair out (what little is left). I don't have time to pursue this endlessly.

Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

Report all of them via the "inappropriate" link, and link to the Lit versions for each, as well as stating that it's stolen ta boot.

It being available for free somewhere else is probably going to get it pulled on that fact alone, since it's part of the KU program.

I had a similar issue last year - someone took my "Ghost in the Machine" series, did a poor "Find&Replace" with a few names and tossed the thing on amazon.

Do yourself the favor and post a proper DMCA complaint. To do that, you will have to buy the stolen work - which you can have refunded later. Provide ample sources and citations which clearly show if and what the pirate changed or where they nabbed the story from. Links, page number, verbatim citations.

I got the stolen book taken down within an hour after submitting the DMCA complaint and the refund within that same day.

Agreed It seems that even if Amazon turns down your copyright claim, they will listen to several complaints.

So, the more fuss you make, the quicker they take it down. It has worked for all of mine (so far).

I've never considered buying them from the thief, but I see that it might work as well.

Thank you very much for advice, and especially to those who have also submitted complaints on my behalf. I really appreciate it.

Due to a lot of factors, it's taking me quite a while to get going further on this. Some of the commands are very helpful, but there's a learning curve and other things going on in my life.

I also appreciate whatever anonymous person sent me feedback to alert me to this situation. It had never occurred to me that anyone would go to the trouble to steal my work, and the potential market seems (to me, at least) limited. I guess I may have been wrong on that. But while some readers (here, I mean, on literotica) have made favorable responses, what I write definitely isn't for everyone.

Unfortunately, searching further I find the same ebooks for sale on Goodreads, so I guess I'll be starting over again.

Goodreads doesn't sell books. You can always post a negative, downrating and "this book was stolen" review there.
