How good are you at trusting your instincts? Are they usually right?

Pretty good, now do I listen to my instincts eh that's a different story lol. But usually my instincts drive me to push for further "investigation" so if I might have been kinda laidback on something if my instincts kick in then I will try to get more info. Now whether I'm right or not really depends on the situation - random "woman" PMs me about a post my instincts kick in saying "this is a guy IRL" I investigate & usually find out I'm right. Other not so obvious things it can go either way.

Are you a grill master? Whats your favorite thing to grill? Whats the most unexpected thing you grill?

I love to grill. I'm not competitive or douche-y about it though. No dopey aprons or poseurish crap.

Gimme good meat, some basic seasonings, and let me at it.

I love to grill steaks, but have tried just about everything. I'm not the biggest fan of seafood on the grill, but beef/chicken/pork? Yeahhh. Pork is tricky though because it can dry out sometimes.

My best non-meat item is a grilled Mexican street corn mockup. I could eat that once a week and be happy.

Weirdest thing I ever grilled was an attempt at a a grilled dessert pastry. Just to see if it would work. (Spoiler...nope.)

no, but I'd love to buy my own grill. I'm a vegetarian, so it's "boring", but my favorite things to grill are corn and zucchini. I also love grilled hot peppers - I grow my own, so grilling them freshly picked is just delicious. I also enjoy grilled pineapple and peaches. Nothing unexpected, since...it's just veggies, but grilled halves or romaine are really lovely.

Certainly not a master, but I do grill a lot when it’s warm enough. Steaks are my favorite, and I do a pretty mean pork tenderloin with a smoke box. Maybe the most unexpected would be wings...found an amazing sweet/spicy rub recipe and they always turn out great (family’s favorite now :))

Nope. I grill maybe two or three times a year and then very specific things for specific reasons. I dislike grilled food.

I am a good to very good cook and I've simply got a low opinion of grilled food.

I think people grill far too many things that should not be grilled. I think grilling is one of those things that a lot of people think they can do - but they really can't.

"We're going to fire up the grill" translates to me as don't expect good food - expect something burnt, raw, or both, covered in way too much sauce or too many spices or marinated to death.

Not at all. I love grilling but when somebody else does it. :D
I do love to sit near, have a bear and chat. My favorite thing to eat is pork ribs and Fiorentina. Yummy.

I actually am. At least in the eyes of my family and close friends. Give me a perfectly marbled cut of steak, my cast iron skillet, and a fire and I can take you all the way to nirvana baby! My favorite thing to grill isn’t grilling per se. I love to make smoked duck. Raspberry compote and greens added and it’s one of my favorite meals.

I don’t know that I’ve done much unexpected. Tried peaches and pineapple and even green beans (don’t ask.., it was a dare) and didn’t particularly like any of it.

I make a mean gyro on the grill, and I love "packet cooking" with salmon and veggies being a favorite. But I am absolutely in love with, and frequently foodgasm over grilled pineapple.

I'm passable. I prefer either a charcoal smoker grill or a charcoal smoker.

My favorite is either a thick t-bone steak or a really nice New York strip on a grill.

But if it's a smoker then I love doing a whole chicken. Beer can chicken is my favorite.

Unexpected? IDK I really like doing veggies in a perforated metal basket that have been seasoned and kept sprayed with olive oil until done.

Are you a good liar?
Not saying you lie often but when you do, are you good at it?
If you're bad at it, what are your tells?

Har! My best friend and I lie to each other all the time. Looking to the side is a tell. To lie successfully you have to look someone straight in the eyes, and it helps if you can convince yourself that what you're saying is true. :D

I'm an awful liar. Which is why I don't do it much.

I always add one too many details. Which is what trips me up. That and I just have an honest face.

Oh noooo, I’m absolutely rubbish!!
My face tells it all. I blush profusely and look away.
Or can’t get my words out properly.
Even if it’s for a good cause I struggle to lie.
I am however better at avoiding the question if I don’t want to fib :D

Define lying.

If you want...and demand me to lie...is it really lying?

Do I look good in this dress? My answer doesn't mean I don't love you...but one is the truth...and the other is what you demand to hear.

Edit...the use of "you" is not a particular individual, but a particular demographic.

Yes I can lie with the best of them.
Play poker with me. Assume I’m a dumb blonde. I’m just a girl. :)

Pleading the fifth on my tells.

I think so, yes.
I don't like it. Therefore, if I have to, I keep it at minimum.
I'm more about don't tell and keep your mouth shut. Fake it till you make it, rather than right-out lie for no reason at all.

I'm a good liar. I rarely do it, being more of a believer in honesty. But, when it is called for, I am a good liar, good enough to once have made a living off it.

Part of being a good liar is lying about your tells. This is a useful thing in poker too - deliberately bluff a few times and give a tell with each bluff. Then, when you have a winning hand, give the tell that says you're bluffing. Poker is full of idiots who think they can read tells (they watched Rounders one too many times). So you let them read your "lying" tell and they'll think "I've got him/her!". But, they don't....

This also works if you ever need to beat a lie detector. Lie detectors work on respiration, heart rate and galvanic skin response (sweat). When the interrogation starts, they'll ask a series of baseline questions (truthful and untruthful).

When you answer each question have your body react as if you're lying - catch your breath for just a spilt second and tense your muscles, then release and answer. Do this consistently with every truthful answer. Then, when you lie, it will appear identical to your truthful statements. It's surprisingly easy with a little practice on a polygraph.

But, I could be lying....
