that's how a number of people I know see it.

being a racist might have been their only reason in 2016 too - but the two votes iced it.

Then they are either bigots or don't know what "racism" is because lefties has turned it into just another term for "people I disagree with" and are probably just using it as the latter, because of the former. :D

The post election autopsy showed that race was THE defining factor in 2016, and that the "whitelash" from the BLM protests, subsequent riots, and attacks on police provided just enough momentum for Trump to slime his way into the White House.

I honestly believe if the George Floyd protests (and others), had not devolved into rioting and looting fests, Trump would have been defeated by a landslide in this election.

There's no going back, but people can learn from both elections going forward, and take measures to avoid repeating the same mistakes.

If police forces are expected to weed out overzealous or racist cops, then organized protests should be expected to weed out opportunistic looters. The bad ones in both groups are obscuring the mission and the message each is trying to convey to the public at large.

Ultimately, the goal is a more perfect union, not civil war like some advocate for.

If I remember correctly it was Biden promoting segregation, didn't want his kids growing up in the jungle, who was palsy-walsy with Bob Byrd, who stated " if you don't vote for me you ain't black" and comparing the black community of not being as diverse as the Latino community. I believe you suffer from selective racism, and to think you voted for a true bigot!

Try feeding that pretzel argument to South Carolina Representative, James Clyburn, whose support during the primaries won Biden the Democratic nomination.

In all the election postmortems, it will be clear which candidate in 2020 was regarded as the most dangerous bigot. Racism in America is systemic. Especially if it's white candidate, it is a matter of assessing the whole picture of that candidate's history of racism.

Some candidates fare better than others.

You do not.

BTW, all that spreading of misinformation about Biden and liberals for the past 4 years your kind have been doing: how's that working out for ya right now? #scoreboard

Clyburn is another washed up career politician living in the past. Clyburn, Lewis, cummings were all cut from the same cloth, all represented impoverished communities and failed them miserably, failed to lift them from the doldrums of poverty. Promises made promises forgotten, typical democratic dogma. When TDS becomes so toxic that you would turn your back on your own community, support a bigot for the sake of TDS, WELL, it's just a testament to the hypocrisy of the left.

Keep on trucking comrade!

So then your exalted VP candidate is a liar? OH well, two peas in a pod! :D:rolleyes::cool:

trump voters will be punished in hiring, in relationships, and elsewhere.

it will help us heal as a nation.

For being a racist he sure has a hell of a lot of black and brown people voting for him!

Indeed, Trump's minority support rose since 2016 and he got more of the black and brown vote than any GOP presidential candidate since 1960.

The port side has to shout "racist" because it's a lie It's not necessary to shout the truth. No one runs up to another and gasps, "Did you know LeBron is tall??"

Are you saying those people can't be racist, or ignorant / elitist about racism?

A simple yes or no will suffice.

I have no ideal if those brown or black people are racist or not.

They seem to like Orange!

Back in 2016, I love how the main$tream media treated these people with kid gloves, claiming it was all about "economic anxiety". I knew it was bullshit. Ok, they got a pass 2016.

They don't get that same pass now. I don't believe they are solely stupid, they are both stupid and vindictive, a lethal combination. Cool, they don't care if the air the breathe is dirty, the water they drink is filthy, their Social Security gets taken away, etc, but I do. We (anti-Trumpers) shouldn't have to suffer for their stupidity. Fuck these people. They choose to listen to that rightwing media poison.

I've noticed the more educated people could see him for what he was, once again proving my point, education matters.

Kinda like the Nazis and Hitler huh... or actually more like Stalin and his bunch.

Very little of the rhetoric coming from the Left seems to be the conciliatory offerings from the Party led by the great uniter, one of his basal promises - they seem to now be defined by the divide and exclusion that they can maintain. I think the intent here is now not to unite as much as it is to create a boogyman which they now can play off of in anticipation of failed future policies, i.e., we had the best of intention and the purest of motives, but those over on the dark side caused our "lack of substantial progress."

I'm not convinced that many of those voting for Trump were voting FOR him but more AGAINST Biden who isn't a great candidate (nor was Hilary).

The Democrats need more electable candidates.

Food for Thought

No argument here. The only problem for them is, if you are a Socialist, where do you go? Not the Republicans. If you are an aspiring Capitalist, where do you go? Not the Democrats. But here's the real delicious nut here, if you are a well-established first-generation Capitalist of new means or a beneficiary of old money, where do you go to use your money and influence purchased with it, to fight to protect yourself from confiscatory taxation (by purchasing indulgences)? The Party of taxation?

;) ;)

You certainly do not fall into the category of the more educated. Your only strength is projection. You lack the cerebral capacity to evaluate facts or read for comprehension. You lack self awareness. You anti-Trumpers should move to N Korea and live the life style that suits you better.

That door swings both ways comrade! :D:rolleyes:

As much as I dislike Trump I do not agree with this thinking. It's wrong and presumptuous to think you know what motivated someone to vote for a candidate without asking them.

People have very different ideas and make very different assumptions about how the world works. People have different ideas about, for example, what's the best way to improve race relations. A person is not a racist just because their ideas differ from yours. I know people who voted for Trump and their reasons have nothing to do with race.
